When it comes to a negotiating plan, Romania, a country devoid of natural energy, is the first to be sacrificed on Putin's list, in the name of the global energy war game.

Hence Putin's sellout of Romania has taken place in the last few months over and over again.

The latest sellout was the sacrifice of Cristian Tudor Popescu, one of the best Romanian journalist and at the same time the president of the Romanian press club.

Life is getting worse here day by day, while we are not even allowed to mourn our pain anymore.

Infiltrated strange guys perversely threaten at the corners of our needs, laying a blanket of weird silence over our doomed lives.

One by one the few people with the sense of morality are buried in the mud of compromises or in the punishing silence of their own tongue-tied words.

Indirectly, every Romanian is a victim of Putin's unpredictable defensive-offensive game.

Yet he remains the truth, the morality and the light, a recurrent paradox fueling the hope.

Scorned for the 'fault' of thinking, misunderstood and more and more isolated in his planetary dream, he remains the only one
for better, for worse, for another tomorrow.

What happened to Ploesti...

I thought Romania was of the few East Eurpean countries that extracted at least some of its oil?

I know that. My problem, my pain is that I am not allowed to pour my anger at work anymore. I've been repeatedly threatened with dismissal and for what? For praising a dude who cares about us like he cares of a dead cat.

An interesting Romanian Article about Greek investment in Romania...

You see, Vera, life goes on...

Grecia in Romania: doua miliarde de euro
Valentin Baesu

Relatiile economice dintre Romania si Grecia s-au dezvoltat in ultimii ani. Investitiile grecesti in Romania au crescut.

Exportul Greciei in Romania a crescut cu 37%, in vreme ce in sens invers s-a inregistrat o crestere de 47%. LExportam in Romania, printre altele, produse textile, chimicale, produse din metal, masini. Importam animale vii, lemne, unele produse chimicale si altele?, spune Lambis Kounalakis.
Investitii consistente

In prezent, in Romania activeaza aproximativ 2.800 de companii grecesti. LSintem prezenti in toate sectoarele: bancar, telecomunicatii, consulting, industrie, distributie, alimentatie, constructii?, a+rma prim-consilierul Ambasadei Greciei la Bucuresti.
Piata atractiva

Profituri in crestere in Romania

Numarul liniilor in functiune a ajuns in 2004 la 4.337.823, fata de 4.329.687 in 2003. Conform datelor companiei, eficienta operationala s-a imbunatatit cu 33%, comparativ cu 2003. Romtelecom va continua sa investeasca in modernizarea si extinderea retelei.

Romanian is very similar to Italian, which is similar to Spanish and French (at least in writing, if not in phonetics).

I am sure I could speak it good in 3 months study.

For a people that speak Spanish... spoken Portoguese, French, Italian and Romanian are pretty unintelligible...

But WRITTEN...

With almost no effort you could read Portuguese... learning some key words you could muddle through French and Italian.

Same with Romanian.

Well, guys... maybe we are going too far...

Most Romanians trend to be very conservatives and repressed regarding sexual things.

Much like in many ortodox / catholic countries.

I am out.

you're nice Sirius and probably you know spanish if you undestand Romanian.

Yes maybe in reality the things don't stay THAT bad, although I don't know what to believe anymore.

The firm I work at is apparently sabotaged by a dude who is against the notion of EU.

As about Greece owning Romtelecom, that's VERY old news, since early Iliescu time.

Russia focuses on economics, on investment in the countries it sells.

In Romania which is scheduled, at least theoretically, to join the EU, the EU should be the main investor probably.

This is no guarantee of success in Putin's plans though.
