True, but at least you were attacked. We have no excuse whatsoever for participating in this madness. And if you could only hear the panic-stricken bullshit that's been peddled by all and sundry over here then it would make you truly sick.
Winston Churchill must be turning in his grave with disgust.
Did anyone else notice how fast out of the gate and swinging Tony Blair was after the WTCs were hit? A lot of political comentators noted the fact, and were kind of set aback at how vociferous and vehement it was. Canada's prime minister was extremely upset about it too (given that Toronto has a tall structure or two as well combined with the fact that it was way, way too close for comfort) but the comentators were mostly startled by how refined Blair's launch was.
Is it because Blair's got very good speach writers who really know how to turn it on when required?
I heard speculation from some old-timers who said with sage nods as they puffed on their pipes that the motivation for Blair's reaction was being drawn from some sort of old Cecil Rhodes style British-American axis treaty, but some of the other guys were saying it was more likely the result of some dusty old agreement from the days when Britian and vicariously the America were the major players for Arab oil after the Ottomans fell.
But, getting back to the point... are British being innundated with media material about how necessary it will be to surrender your rights to privacy and protections from unwarrented arrest like with homeland security in the States?
