It is the only thing that can cut across religion and unite all Indians irrespective of colour, caste, and class.

I'll be back.

INdia does seem like an amazing place to go on a cricket tour. How big is tendulkar over there, he must be like a god, is he used for much promotion?

ted
try and get a copy of yesterday's Wall St. Journal. there is a large article about cricket marketing in India. If I can, I'll try to retrieve it on line and paste it here. Don't know if I'll be successful tho'.

Srilanka are 5 for 154 after 38 - c'mon the windies.

228 not quite healthy enough unless the SL bowlers get stuck in early. Have to favor the Windies here.
Good for the Dutch, lasting 50 overs.

If Murali gets going, even 228 is a good score.
You never know with the Windies. They either win or lose - by a mile.

It could be a SLanka victory. It is possible that the chasing team will collapse in ruins dramatically like Pakistan against us, or us against India. But if the show some strength like the Aussies the WI should win.

Yes. not a brilliant start was it. Provided they don't go down 20/3 or anything, they should survive. Just.

Oh well done Lara. Eventually out after facing the eqivalent nearly 4 overs, and only scoring 1 run. Crisis point.

I was going to say its just favouring the windies after seeing it at 25 overs but they are now 6 for 124 after 30. It all rests on chanderpaul now.

It was a performance the dutch can be proud of, what are your opinions on the so called minnows appearing at the world cup? I think it was discussed here earlier and I know alot of other people werent too happy but I think its a good thing they are included.

Frankly, I think the minnows have done very well, considering. Great perfomances from some of them.

I think SLanka will just about scrape through this match. And I mean just.

Great match ahead- India vs Pak.
Let Akram bowl well, let Inzy score some runs, but may India win.
Its time for me to go to work.
Bye, guys.

Hmm, away all this pm taking traveller2 sightseeing. Would have liked to see the WI runchase. Envy you blokes in the UK.
Looks like kenya will get in even if they lose to WI on the last day.
SA and Lanka the pivotal match for the hosts purses and crowd figures. Hope SA can win (no dis to the lankans).
Pakis v Zim is looming as crucial IF Pak can contain india, if not, Pak can pak-it-up! Poms will drink warm beer!

India look on course here after yet another fizzle by inzamam.
Let's see if the kenyans can tighten up the bowling.
How's it look on tv, guys? Or are you all out doing the weekend shopping?

Its not on tv here in the uk, unless you have sky (satelite/cable) tv that is. They are not even showing highlights on terestrial tv - which makes me think it will serve them right if england makes the final or semis and no one sees it.

I live in Scotland too so I cant even find a pub with the cricket on.

I will probably listen to the England v Australia game on the radio tomorow even though I cant stand that bloghfield commentator (and most of the other english commentators too for that matter.)

For the rest of the games I too have to make do with the internet - although i dont mind that too much.

I supose though traveller you dont even get highlights on the news - maybe on fox or espn?

As for todays games India look like they are cruising and although Bangladesh has the required run rate they are loosing wickets.
