Vaughan gets injured by missing a pull in the nets, then gets out to a mis-timed one. :wonder:

'Not even Warne could halt the onslaught. On average, Warne claims to have invented at least one secret-weapon delivery per series, giving them fancy names like "zooter" and "slider", and sure enough he was promising us a new one before this Test. He has yet to reveal it officially, but on yesterday's evidence it may be the one that swings in, dips, spins viciously, hits the middle of Flintoff's bat and ends up underneath the covers behind the far sightscreen.

In fairness to Warne he is still a brilliant bowler, and Flintoff's assault was entirely born out of the batsman's realisation that he had not the faintest idea how to defend against him. Big Freddie doesn't like anything too complicated, so he decided to treat Warne like a closing down sale. Everything must go.'

Cons 181/3. Now all you got to do is get Clarke, Gilly and Katich out before you pry Dizzy out of the crease.

Good luck mates. Great match.

Irrespective of who wins.

England won this match the second Ponting put them in.

Having said that, Warne should give the Poms a bit of a workout tomorrow. Could be Warne day again.

'England won this match the second Ponting put them in.'

Absolutely!

Also...

Jones' bowling was the best I have seen from an Englisman in years.

I would tell Hayden to forget about help from above... just help yourself to your immense talent and losen up a bit.

Martyn should be told to wake up to himself...
He does look dopey at times.

Shane Warne's batting was a disgrace at this level
and at that particular phase of the game
when a man like Gilchrist's at the crease.
This is unforgivable really.

Empire Rudi Koertzen (RSA) seems to be very keen to raise the finger against Australia. This following the first test at Lords is a worrying trend and IMO reeks of possible bias.
Langer should've gotten the benefit of the doubt,
and Gillespie was NOT OUT full stop.

Anyway this a good awakening for Australia...

LOSING IS A LOT OF NOT MUCH.

It really is official now: Vaughan can't defend or attack. Almost a 'mark2' of how Lee bowled him at Lord's. Hoggard is looking in good nick at the crease though. :kowt:

Ok, a 'good nick' to Hayden off a ball he didn't need to go at.

86/6.

'Nuff said.

HTF do you guys expect me to punt on you? :wonder:

Good thing I had the covering bet in favour of the convicts.

My dad was a jailer and he told me that cons were usually better than cops in whatever they did.

182ao! Great innings by injured Flinty! It think Australia can and will chase down 283 though. My intuition says as much.

283 would be a record, I believe. They can thank Flintoff. Great innings!

The only thing going for the Aussies is that the game is only 2.5 days old. It all depends on the state of the pitch, and the state of confidence of Australia's top order batsmen. If any of them get run out, you would have to question their intelligence. They have over 2 days to get 283.

Martyn, are you reading this??!!

It was a day sent from the Gods, and let's not forget, they have been smiling on England throughout - from the moment that Australia's great warrior fell on his Achilles ankle, to the twinge that steadied Flintoff's eye and enabled them to return from their nadir. Roll over Ulysses - a new epic hero has arrived...

Incredible match. Dont mind losing money overall on this one.

Strewth, that was too close for comfort. Well done Lee and Warney. Worse luck next time. :)
