Just to keep things alive, I read in this morning's paper there is video evidence Kaspa well and truly had his hand off the bat when the ball hit his glove.

Thats it! Cancel celebrations. Get them back out. :D

Funny you'd say that...

I was waiting to see the replay in slow-mo, and it never came???

Another conspiracy? :tralala:

I too remember it well. I was working in some office in Ballarat and we had the radio on the whole time. Thommo did great. Too bad.

Even though we still got our arses kicked after that, I always felt that match was a watershed for Australian cricket. We salvaged some pride that match.

India needs 245+ to beat SL. Sehwag is going hammer and tongs. 20 in 15 balls so far.

The Yanks have been thrown out of the ICC tournament and that somehow seems to have caught zhurnalist's fancy. He has a thread going on the main forum.:D

Sehwag 48 off 22, but an 18 run loss just the same. Bad luck. ;)

I shouldn't worry. Last time we toured there we lost tests and odis 1-0. 2 Test draws were decidedly 1-sided too. Let's drown our sorrows.

He'll have to! :D

I hope Ponting had a pen and paper and took down what Vaughn did after he won the toss. LOL

The Aussies looked a dejected team from the moment they took the field.

After 14 manky horrible wicketless overs, I don't think we will win this one. But we should have.

Timid umpiring has cost Shane Warne at least seven wickets in this series. Repeatedly, legitimate appeals for leg before have been rejected, sometimes with only the most cursory of glances. In several of these cases the batsman has been plumb in front. Often they have not attempted a stroke, a neglect that in less dainty days incurred the wrath of red-blooded umpires like Darrell Hair, whose attitude towards these dismal souls is commendable.
