He would be beheaded and it would be telecast live on Al Jazeera.

He has succcessfully antagonised the entire subcontinent, viz., four different countries.

Sri Lanka wamted to send death squads after him when he no-balled Murali for having a congenitally bent arm. Later when Ozzie sports scientists confirmed that he didn't throw because he couldn't straighten his elbow enough to chuck.

He then declared Tendulkar out LBW when a ball struck his helmet.

Does he hate everybody from the subcontinent? We Indians dont mind because if he is officiating, we put the opposition down to 12 instead of 11.

If the subcontinent doesn't participate it is no World Cup and there will be no revenue for the ICC.

Doctrove can bowl and Hair can bat.

As far as India is concerned (or the only visible Indian on this thread is concerned) England won unfairly not because they wanted to, but because a stupid umpire spoilt such a wonderful game.

In Hair's defence, Tendulkar is not a tall man.

Good day mate.

I thought he was taller than the stumps.:D

Penalizing Inzy is going to open a can of worms and the ICC will have to lose a lot of money...

If they force him to officiate in a match where Pakistan plays they might very well throw the ball at him instead of the stumps and the batsman would try straight drives that can decapitate him.

Yup. Hair is a marked man.:Potstir:

RIP Wasim Bhai. He had a lot of Indian fans.

He realized that we were one people who were forced to live in two different countries because some stupid politicians wanted power so badly.

I have watched him play and he was a treat to watch.

What better way for a cricketer to die other than while playing cricket?:kowt:

He might have made a good Pakistan captain in a rather old-fashioned amateur swashbuckling fashion, but coming from the country's elite, studying in Durham and marrying an Englishwoman, he tended to be above the political battle. This, however, stood him in good stead in later life, when he was appointed as one of the ICC's elite panel of match referees.

What the world needs as a civilizing influence is more Englishwomen.;)

You aint seen nuthin' of ball tampering yet mate. :Potstir:

I think we abanonded the players/gentlemen distinction along with those matches in the early 1960s. The gentlemen are either dead, members or media men. :Bad:

The magnificent Clyde Walcott has been given out. Not a good week for Cricket.

Weekes is still going strong. Frank Worrell tragically died on March 13 1967 aged only 42. Alf Valentine died in the US on May 11 2004 after a lenghty illness. Ramadhin is still batting on, aged 77 at the moment.

Having said that... the only difference between a good doctor and a good mechanic is that the doctor washes his hands AFTER he goes to the toilet.

Also the doctor works and operates on his "engine" whilst it is running.

Forget about the number of posts and ports in this thread.

We (the Poms, the curry munchers, and the wizards of Oz--with a little help from expat Aussies who try to reform the US) have kept a thread on an English game on a Russian forum alive for more than three years.

We started at the time of last World Cup and have almost reached the next one next year.

Just goes to show that cricket unites people more than anything else.

PS. The lady curry munchers win a Test series against lady Poms.
