England don't have to play qualifying matches while the Sri Lankans do - that should annoy Jayasuriya enough to smack 250 against the Zimmers.

Younis has really messed up there. Why not just take the few matches to show he can handle a tournament situation?

Clarity. Younis has his priorities in the right order. It is of course a well known fact the the Yorkshire captaincy is the most desirable job in world cricket.

The only decent reason to resign would be if he was told that Yousuf was going to be the next permanent captain anyway. Either that or being told he would have to grow a monster beard and put on 50 pounds if he was going to succeed Inzi.:viva:

Younis back as captain, Mushtaq sacked. A bit of Stalinist justice seems to be the order of the day: "All irrelevant staff will be purged within 45 days".
