I think England will do well. The Springbox are chokers as the 'roos would tell you. Its time to blood some youngsters in the pace department. Simon Jones is most impressive and chooses himself, although what the ECB, will do is anybody's guess.
Hope they introduce fresh blood from (its a tip from us) Kent and Yorkshire.;)

Bye for now. The comp at home conked out and I'm online from elsewhere. I told the Tory guests that I had to check my mail and that I'd be right back. They return to Blighty this weekend and our entire house will heave a sigh of relief. No more stiff upper lips to be worn till at least a year.

yay the cricket forum is back online!

Commisorations ag. I heard 7000 Indians had travelled to be at the final.

Zxb you must fancy your chances against the south africans - they've lost a few good players including johnty and this will presumably be the first time out for south africas new captain (posibly englands too)

But England must be thinking this is a great chance to go over and get a morale boosting victory that could set them up for the time being.

The next tournament in the windies that already sounds like a tantalising prospect.

Yeah, it's possible that we can catch the S Africans with there pants down as it were. They have just suffered a major confidence blow from the WC. And if we lose (perish the thought), hopefully we can redeem ourselves against Zimbabwe (if we can persuade them to come), and the Windies and naturally Bangladesh. :)

What cup? The Sharjah Cup is the only one I've heard about, but not in the context of Zimbabwe and Kenya. If there is a cup between Pakistan, Zimbabwe and Kenya, then Pakistan is most likely going to win it. Perhaps that is the idea - confidence booster after their tragic WC. ;)

Do you think Bangladesh will ever win a Test or an ODI? :D

yeh the Sharjah Cup i was just hitting upon the fact that all three nations are involved in some controversy.

Pakistan and Srilanka were going to play south africa but they pulled out due to Iraq and now they have asked pakistan and kenya if they want a shot.

I think Bangladesh drew a game once? after four days of rain. :)

I beleive it wont be the first time that cricket has been played at disneyland either (huge amount of sports facilities there). Was there not also (within the last 5 years) an India v Pakistan game in toronto canada?

I think that Aussies v West Indies will be the equivalent of a sporting genocide. ;)

I had a dream (or nightmare) 3 or so weeks ago about England going down to a 5-0 'blackwash' against Bangledesh. I was not amused. :(

Take heart z. The poms will eventually come 'round. Surely there's a Botham somewhere in the counties? and a Lamb and a Willis? (but hopefully no Boycott)
