League?????

That's just a game for Northerners and has more to do with a 'class-revolt' and later; money (early professionalism of 'rugby') than sport. In England we use RL as a prooving ground for Union. Which is what's happening in OZ to I believe. e.g. Wendall Sailor. :D

Rugby League is doomed. But without it Union would never have evolved to the spectator sport it is today.

Tedward, I don't know for certian, but I would say that it was the longest individual innings ever. Certainly in test cricket, perhaps in 1st class cricket as a whole. Not often you bat for over 16 hours in a single innings. :)

Hmmmm,

Namibia seem to be no push-over... however I'd be surprised if they have much depth in their batting ----- lol..I hope. :D

and shortest game ever.

Namibia need 100 of 13 overs which is certainly do-able, with the batters 4 and 5 quite settled in . Although surely England will win it.

zxb it is the longest innings i checked, and one of the longest recent ones was athertons 185 against the south africans - i remember watching it, it was possibly the dullest thing i have ever seen.

Boycott, not only boring, but a 'wife-beating' wanker to boot.

Chris Tavare had his moments. :) And there is Geoff Allott who courageously spent 1 hour 40 minutes getting a duck.

I must admit that those Nigerians are more dangerous than we thought. Still, danger's over now it seems. 200/7.

India beat Zim by 83 runs. If they had lost this match, the team would probably have been lynched when they returned.

Do you know why Indians seem to take cricket so seriously? Is it national pride, or what?

Some seem to think it is India's religion.

I can't see the ozzies losing to the dutch, but it happened the last cup, holland was in. We won't make the same mistake and rest a bunch of players or mess around with the batting order. go for the throat!!
Poms got a bit of a scare today!:P

England vs Namibia

England almost lost to a nation who`s official language is German nearly as embarrassing as loosing to the Ozzies at football.
the only thing to cheer us brits up is the feeling of scharden-frioder from Canada`s humiliation

as for sheer boredom i dont think i have ever seen a greater exponent of the forward defensive than Chris Taveree.
