The reason why murili and chucktar bring the sport into disrespute and still are allowed to play is being west asian cricket is corrupt as anything on this earth.

Whats worse they can bring enormous pressure to bear on the ICC due to the size of the cricketing nations they represent.

Another very close, very high scoring match between India and Pakistan. Before this series, I never realised how evenly matched you 2 were. But, 4 innings with a lowest score of 317, is phenominal batting. Keep it up. :D

Does anyone know what sort of monster pitch SL have produced? 212 runs scored for 17 wickets, including the whole of Australia for a manky 120? Strange things going on there.

Warny has bowled in 3 SL innings, and picked up a 5-fer each time. Not a bad record. :D

It is impossible not to laugh at yourself sometimes!!!!!

I view this thread occasionally when I am not up with latest. I was interested to see how we were doing. And others. I read:

"Australia's Shane Warne has tested positive for anabolic steroids and is being sent back home. Allah's revenge???"

I'm thinking: "God is he tHAT stupid to be caught out again?!"

Its page 1 of this thread. I didn't realize....

Trav,
The Pakis were better all round. The better team won. I watched the match on TV and there is not much anybody can do against a bowling attack of that kind. Sami let loose a bouncer at new boy Powar and almost took off his head with one that came at him at 158 Kph. The bowling was too good. Two more matches to go. Lets see what's happening. Two members of the Indian team are 12th grade students, Irfan Pathan and Parthiv Patel, both 19 years old. It is a learning process for the likes of them. It was nice to see Balaji make a 12-ball 22. A fast bowler who is not afraid to hook another fast bowler for six is rare. He is such a clean hitter of the ball, he reminds you of Chris Cairns when he connects.

Re: the young uns: Let's hope they get good and stroppy soon. Don't get intimated by the "history" or the "classicism"(sp?) of the game. Get out there and do it :)

to z &Ag: still with a small target they should defend and let the runs come. N'est pas?

Z What most Yanks cant understand (and most non-cricketing countries) is that the bowlers are the attack and the batsmen are the defenders (in test Matches) not true in the one-dayers and that should be made clear t0 the kids.

Mostly true, but for tests, I think it also depends somewhat in the type of player. In tests, The likes of Sobers, Botham and Gilly could make the bowlers look defensive. :D

"still with a small target they should defend and let the runs come. N'est pas?"

Bit late now. :D Warny - 4 consecutive 5- fers. Not bad after a year out.

yup, he's just warming up to the competition in general, loves it, and is fitter now than a year ago.
Will be the most prolific taker in history, then maybe Murali;)
