Hmmm. Treble tonnage by Sehwag. :) Any explanation why Tendulkar was sadistically left stranded on 194 wouldn't come amiss. :(

Heavens wouldnt have fallen if they had sent young Parthiv Patel in to bat and asked him to stick around till Tendulkar got his 200. I am a Dravid fan, but I am not going to forgive him this one. And that moron Yuvaraj could have just given the strike to the master instead of trying to play to the gallery. He had already made his 50 odd himself.

This is what the Cricket Bible says, and I have no reason to disbelieve them.

Shame on Dravid for this one.

I dont know. I believe Imran Khan, when captain, declared during a test match in India when Javed Miandad was 280 n.o.

Miandad was furious because a triple hundred was his for the taking. He has devoted one whole chapter of his autobiography cursing Imran for this. Maybe when Tendy writes his autobiography he will call Dravid a sadist.

Pakistan is 296/4 in reply.

Enjoy this, and to hell with the coaching manual.:D

If Dravid was ever stranded on 99*, it certainly wasn't in a test.

I remember Bradman, once got stuck on 299* after he ran out the last man. How irritating would that be. :( :o :D

An encouraging start to a series, wouldn't you say?

Belrick should be happy that a Kiwi is the Indian team's coach. The first thing John Wright did was erase the lines created by superstardom and foster team spirit.

Im happy about a lot of things agnostic.

BTW Murili has been called for his suspect action again. Apparantly hes been bowling the odd legitamate action so now the sri lankan cricket board wants some of there ICC bribe money returned.

Belrick,
Today's paper quotes the Sydney Morning Herald which says that Murali is being checked out at University of Western Australia's human movement department. Apparently, the Ozzies have an entire department devoted to checking out moves.;)

On Wednesday night, 12 cameras shooting at 250 frames per second, recorded Murali bowling under controlled conditions, his "doosra," or leg break delivered with an off-spinner's action. The footage, which is being checked by learned professors, comes after attaching sensors to all parts of Murali's body and asking him to bowl bare bodied inside a laboratory. I believe that when a person throws, certain totally unconnected muscles twitch involuntarily. It doesnt happen when you bowl or throw a javelin. Or so the Wizards of Oz say.:D

Trav,
Where in tarnation is Mendoza. I thought Mendoza was a person's name.
Thorpe seems to have saved the Poms the blushes. As he usually does.

I doubt it. Nobody in their right mind would declare with themselves within a boundary on double tonnage. The Indians, are putting out a display of unity. Naturally, unity goes down very well with the fans. I can't help thinking that there is some serious rivalry between Tend and Dravid. Both are very good batters, but Tend gets much more publicity than Dravid. When you think of Indian batters, Tendulkar is the first thing that comes to mind.

"and asking him to bowl bare bodied inside a laboratory"

Yes. I saw a photo. :(

"Thorpe seems to have saved the Poms the blushes. As he usually does"

Impressive achiement making 119no when nobody else makes over 17. Our openers bat like big bum grapes.

Hey agnostic what makes you think the deliveries Murili bowled under controleld conditions were the same as the ones he bowled during the recent test series vs aussie?

Do you think he doesnt know when he chucks the odd delivery?
