Belrick,
It would be nice if everyone played international cricket barebodied in a laboratory the size of Lords, with electrodes and sensors attached to their bodies. :D

If we can have stump cameras that monitor for verbal abuse, why not barebodied cricket. I bet it will increase the female fan following for cricket.
Just think of Andy Flintoff or Shane Bond charging in to bowl barebodied wearing just Bermudas or something. :D

But seriously, who do you think is worse, Murali or Shoaib? We have a former Indian captain who says that if Murali's hand is deformed, he should have chosen a different game to play. He goes a step further and says most modern bowlers chuck at least one ball an over when the cameramen and umpires get a bit sleepy.

The idea of Adam Gilchrist batting only in a box fills me full of suspicion.

I agree Ferny. The idea of a close Test series decider fills me with glee. :D

Ag, I just heard that Patel's been fined? Why?!?  :(

He was practically appealing every ball and irritating both the batsmen as well as the umpires.:D

Give the lad time. He will learn.;)

re india declaring with tendulkar on 194, it's odd that dravid happened to get out for 6 in that innings.

Anyway, no worries about shared doubles in the 2nd test, their combined scores don't get to 50.

Pakistan level series.

Good to see Parthiv Patel make 62 n.o. with 10 fours.

This drawn match might, on the surface, not seem very interesting, although it does have a couple of highlights (like 60no from a number 11 batsman:eek: ) and probably an very exciting finish with only 1 wicket needed to earn Pakistan a win. 1 thing thats makes this match notable is that a record 173 extras were tallied up. Indeed, if WI hadn't conceded over a hundred of them over 2 innings they might just have won. :D

The Man is 313 n.o. with 3 sixes and 34 fours. Will he go past Matt Hayden?

I hope he gets the quad, and maybe if the lower order stays with him they'll get 800 or more. 367 now, just his and Hayd's score left.

Big Beefy Lara 390no. Jacobs 100no. :) Lara has a tricky decision to make. He said yesterday that he wanted around 700 as to not have to bat again, but should he perhaps waste time to get to 400, or just declare over lunch.

I was thinking 800 because it would beat the highest WI total, but declaring then trying to bowl England out and gain the victory would be more important of course.

He should declare, now and go after England. St. John's is a relatively small oval, so alot of runs can be made there.

They've matched the 735 made when Hayden got his score. The only other century-maker then was the keeper too

Vaughan out for a vaguely low score. Declaring not-out on 400 is aesthetically pleasing, and BBC had him saying he wanted 700-750.

400no. Stunning, wonder when he'll get his K. 751/5 dec. Was this really the same team that was out for 47? :)

I think we'll lose. Our openers are crappy. Our only tolerable batters seem to be Nass, Thorpy and Butch. But, we have still won the series. :D

It's up to The Boy to hold it together then. If the tailenders can take it cautiously and give the openers time to rest, they "should" be able to get the draw. ;)

Over 200 for Flintoff? Maybe make it an exhibition innings, like that 142 against SA. :D
