newgen will need to carry the torch. A component
of hi-tech compter whizes will need to join pit crews.
Lordy, I can chip a base 9-3 Saab and get Viggen
performance out of it sans 17" wheels and brakes
and exhaust to match. And the whizzes have taken the
lag out of the turbos as well as tuned the suspensions
to phase out yaw.
If they're doing these things to passenger cars, sky's the
limit on the racing equipment, which gives us a lot
of the technology we enjoy on our public highways.
I worked bobsled at the Olympics, Porsche is now
providing the German sledders with the edge by tuning
up suspension systems.
I'll have to double check my impressions of Montoya.
I had thought there was driver conflict on safe racing
practices. These men run an honor code on their own.
