Timothy BANCROFT-HINCHEY is a spin-doctor for sure. There is absolutely nothing objective about his journalism. I guess he's a product of EU pacifism propaganda. Russia couldn't even find one of their own to edit Pravda.

Regarding polls:

Their sample sizes are usually too small for my statistical taste (usually around 1,000), and they vary widely depending the demographic polled and the questions asked.

Here's a poll with better numbers: 77,286 people (so far) voted on whether to boycott French products...95% say YES. http://www.billoreilly.com/site/Survey

Bush's approval rating should go up considerably over the next few months.

If the economy doesn't pick up Bush could be in trouble, but it's way too early to predict with relative certainty the outcome of an election 1-1/2 years away.

Is it a coincident that my ADSL ISP (streamyx) is under DoS attack
that they are practically out of service for the last one week or more.

Well... he killed two more yesterday

I would like to know how to figure out how the formula works

(Killed "enemies") / (marines beaten) * (lies uncovered) - (heroes coming back) + (OBL random msgs) - (Saddam posts in PRAVDA) = Approval rating

;)

It gives me no great joy to see the Bush approval ratings today vs 2003. I was part of that 25% that did not approve of the Iraq invasion from day one. These late arrivals to the party actually have no moral problems with the principles of pre-emptive war, just that they feel it has been poorly executed. This is not exclusively a Bush or Republican issue. The Democrats after all had their own little war in Yugoslavia just 8.5 years ago. The war party is the majority in both parties.
