Due to the technical problem that Pravda.Ru has experienced recently, a lot of previous messages disappeared from the database. We apologize for the inconvenience

There are still technical problems with the forum. I really hope that our beloved Pravda.Ru will make the effort to fix it. It would make the forum so much better if we could again have the ability to use quotes, bold text and different colours etc.

Edit note: I think that this must be about my fourth edit of this post, and I still can't seen to post "Pravda.Ru" in cyrillic. Oh well, so be it. I'll just have to accept defeat and stick with my own miserable alphabet.

Indeed, we could lobby for the unbanning of the banned words.

Back it up ! In the US, this is a mantra I drill into all my friends heads. And for a big server, DAT works wonders.

Yes, regular back-ups would be a very sensible thing for Pravda.Ru to do, to minimise problems of data loss with this forum.

Yeah, our beloved posts, our pearls of wisdom; how we miss them so if we lose them.

I really hope that the technical problem can be corrected soon. It would really improve the forum if we could get back those useful features, such as the use of quotes.

DWF,
What are the odds of two people living in Teesside posting on a Russian Forum anyway???

I reckon that it would run smoother using the invision, or yabbse php forums. Strange how quotes etc don't work,

still a great forum, glad I found it,

I really wouldn't know. To calculate the odds requires many factors, first of which is how many people live in the Teesside area, having defined the limits of this area in the first place.

We must then figure out how many of this group of individuals (Teessiders) would actually choose to use an Internet forum, based on the knowledge gained from people throughout the country, noting that their may be regional differences.

Having ascertained the total number of Teessiders, and calculated the percentage of those who choose to use an Internet forum, we then just need to calculate the percentage of those who choose this forum rather than another. This should then give us a likely number of individuals using the forum and I expect that further calculations could be made to ascertain actual probabilities.

(OK, so I got a bit carried away with extraneous waffle and never really answered the question)

Hail be to the mighty C2H5OH !

The tech battle rages still. bushwacked seemed to be trying to help us out there, but no response. These Sigh-Ops are getting long in the tooth. I don't even know why long in the tooth is a phrase.

Could it be that as we age, our gums recede?

Either that, or you are a beaver, whose teeth never
stop growing.
