Ship Rudderless After Trump Drops Its Pilot

“The Trump presidency that we fought for, and won, is over,” Bannon said Friday, shortly after confirming his departure. “We still have a huge movement, and we will make something of this Trump presidency. But that presidency is over.”

Bannon was the "Make America great again" guy in the White House. The strategist who had the populist ideas that brought the votes for Trump. Jobs, jobs, jobs - Infrastructure investments, immigration limits, taxing globalists were his issue.

Trump is no young German Emperor and Bannon is no chancellor Bismark. (Both would probably have liked those roles.) But with Bannon leaving, the Trump presidency is losing its chief strategist, the one person which set priorities and could set an alternative course for the ship of state under Trump's command.

The racist Huffington Post headline implies that Bannon prioritized the wrong country.

Haaretz notes that his ouster was hailed by U.S. Jewish groups.

The reason is not that Bannon is anti-semite or a Nazi - he is neither. (It was the Obama administration, not Trump, which voted against the UN anti-Nazi resolution.) Bannon was anti-Islamist and anti-Iran which fitted the Zionist program. But he was also against the waste of U.S. assets and capabilities for the welfare of other countries. He was anti-empire and anti-war. Only yesterday a NYT portrait of him noted:

General McMaster has become Mr. Bannon’s nemesis in the West Wing, the leader of what Mr. Bannon has described to colleagues as the “globalist empire project” — a bipartisan foreign policy consensus that emphasizes active American engagement around the world.

Mr. Bannon flatly rejects that philosophy.
    ...
Once Mr. Trump was in office, Mr. Bannon opposed the missile strike on Syria after President Bashar al-Assad used chemical weapons on his own people. He has expressed doubts about sending more troops to Syria or Iraq. He is skeptical of American military intervention in strife-torn Venezuela, a prospect raised last week by Mr. Trump, who surprised administration officials by speaking of a “military option” there.

Bannon was also against the imperial projects in Afghanistan, North Korea and elsewhere. Then the empire stroke back at him.

The White House is now under command of military hawks and interventionists. A triumvirate of war-losing Generals, Kelly, Mattis and McMaster, is in control of U.S.  policy. That policy will likely be similar to the one we expected under a Hillary Clinton administration. The neocons, pushing for a dangerous crisis, are winning and the liberals are loving it.

It is not clear at all who will now set the overall political calendar for the Trump presidency. When will what policy initiative be launched? Will it collide with other initiatives? Who will coordinated this with Congress? What priorities must be given to this or that? The four star general Chief of Staff and the three National Security Advisor are neither trained nor capable to evaluate or take such political decisions. Who, after Bannon, is thinking about these issues?

Interestingly Bannon was one of the few untouched by the Russia investigations. Trump would not have been elected without him. He himself is now the only one in the White House who somewhat holds the policy views that got him the necessary votes. It is doubtful that he will be able to translate those into politics. He is (like Bannon) too inexperienced in handling the Washington ship of state to survive by himself. He is incompetent in selecting staff and disloyal to his subordinates. Only the fear of the religious craziness of Vice President Pence prevents, for now, his impeachment. Trump is not happy with his situation.

Bannon came in to drain the swamp but the swamp drowned him. He will now go back to Breitbart.com and "go to war for Trump". It is the website where he, as executive chairman, first promoted his right-wing nationalist views. Bannon will surely continue to make waves. But I doubt that it will be able to help Trump to implement what Bannon and Trump himself intended to do. As a well known public person once observed:

    Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

It's almost like the United States has no President - we are a rudderless ship heading for a major disaster. Good luck everyone!

Obama was the guy who wasn't president, not legally or practically.

Trump is a different kind of person who doesn't need advisors telling him what the agenda should be, even though he has some.

Bannon seems to be the right guy for the advisor job, with the right ideas on stopping foreign aid to Israel and other countries.

That should be a priority because the US government is too deeply in debt to be giving money away.

Ann Coulter On Charlottesville, When Liberals Club People, It s With Love In Their Hearts

Earlier by Ann Coulter: Hillary To Dead Cops—You Deserved It, July 13, 2016

Apparently, as long as violent leftists label their victims “fascists,” they are free to set fires, smash windows and beat civilians bloody. No police officer will stop them. They have carte blanche to physically assault anyone they disapprove of, including Charles Murray, Heather Mac Donald, Ben Shapiro, me and Milo Yiannopoulos, as well as anyone who wanted to hear us speak.

Even far-left liberals like Evergreen State professor Bret Weinstein will be stripped of police protection solely because the mob called him a “racist.”

If the liberal shock troops deem local Republicans “Nazis”–because some of them support the duly elected Republican president–Portland will cancel the annual Rose Festival parade rather than allow any Trump supporters to march.

They’re all “fascists”! Ipso facto, the people cracking their skulls and smashing store windows are “anti-fascists,” or as they call themselves, “antifa.”

We have no way of knowing if the speakers at the Charlottesville “Unite the Right” rally last weekend were “Nazis,” “white supremacists” or passionate Civil War buffs, inasmuch as they weren’t allowed to speak. The Democratic governor shut the event down, despite a court order to let it proceed.

We have only visuals presented to us by the activist media, showing some participants with Nazi paraphernalia. But for all we know, the Nazi photos are as unrepresentative of the rally as that photo of the drowned Syrian child is of Europe’s migrant crisis. Was it 1 percent Nazi or 99 percent Nazi?

As the “Unite the Right” crowd was dispersing, they were forced by the police into the path of the peace-loving, rock-throwing, fire-spraying antifa. A far-left reporter for The New York Times, Sheryl Gay Stolberg, tweeted live from the event: “The hard left seemed as hate-filled as alt-right. I saw club-wielding ‘antifa’ beating white nationalists being led out of the park.”

That’s when protestor James Fields sped his car into a crowd of the counter-protesters, then immediately hit reverse, injuring dozens of people, and killing one woman, Heather Heyer.

This has been universally labeled “terrorism,” but we still don’t know whether Fields hit the gas accidentally, was in fear for his life or if he rammed the group intentionally and maliciously.

With any luck, we’ll unravel Fields’ motives faster than it took the Obama administration to discern the motives of a Muslim shouting “Allahu Akbar!” while gunning down soldiers at Fort Hood. (Six years.)

But so far, all we know is that Fields said he was “upset about black people” and wanted to kill as many as possible. On his Facebook page, he displayed a “White Power” poster and “liked” three organizations deemed “white separatist hate groups” by the Southern Poverty Law Center. A subsequent search of his home turned up bomb-making materials, ballistic vests, rifles, ammunition and a personal journal of combat tactics.

Actually, none of that is true. The paragraph above describes, down to the letter, what was known about Micah Xavier Johnson, the black man who murdered five Dallas cops a year ago during a Black Lives Matter demonstration. My sole alteration to the facts is reversing the words “black” and “white.”

President Obama held a news conference the next day to say it’s “very hard to untangle the motives.” The New York Times editorialized agnostically that many “possible motives will be ticked off for the killer.” (One motive kind of sticks out like a sore thumb to me.)

In certain cases, the media are quite willing to jump to conclusions. In others, they seem to need an inordinate amount of time to detect motives.

The media think they already know all there is to know about James Fields, but they also thought they knew all about the Duke lacrosse players, “gentle giant” Michael Brown and those alleged gang-rapists at the University of Virginia.

Waiting for facts is now the “Nazi” position.

Liberals have Republicans over a barrel because they used the word “racist.” The word is kryptonite, capable of turning the entire GOP and 99 percent of the “conservative media” into a panicky mass of cowardice.

This week, Mitt Romney and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.)–among others–instructed us that masked liberals hitting people with baseball bats are pure of heart–provided they first label the likes of Charles Murray or some housewife in a “MAGA” hat “fascists.”

Luckily, the week before opening fire on Republicans, critically injuring House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, Bernie Sanders-supporter James Hodgkinson had used the vital talisman, calling the GOP “fascist.” So you see, he wasn’t trying to commit mass murder! He was just fighting “Nazis.” Rubio and Romney will be expert witnesses.

And let’s recall the response of Hillary Clinton to the horrifying murder of five Dallas cops last year. The woman who ran against Trump displayed all the moral blindness currently being slanderously imputed to him.

In an interview on CNN about the slaughter that had taken place roughly 12 hours earlier, Hillary barely paused to acknowledge the five dead officers–much less condemn the shooting–before criticizing police for their “implicit bias” six times in about as many minutes.

What she really wanted to talk about were the two recent police shootings of black men in Baton Rouge and Minneapolis, refusing to contradict Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton’s claim that the Minneapolis shooting was based on racism.

Officers in both cases were later found innocent of any wrongdoing. Either the left has had a really bad streak of luck on their police brutality cases, or bad cops are a lot rarer than they think.

Some people would not consider the mass murder of five white policemen by an anti-cop nut in the middle of a BLM protest a good jumping-off point for airing BLM’s delusional complaints about the police. It would be like responding to John Hinckley Jr.’s attempted murder of President Reagan by denouncing Jodie Foster for not dating him.

Or, to bring it back to Charlottesville, it would be as if Trump had responded by expounding on the kookiest positions of “Unite the Right”–just as Hillary’s response echoed the paranoid obsessions of the cop-killer. Trump would have quickly skipped over the dead girl and railed against black people, Jews and so on.

That is the precise analogy to what Hillary did as the bodies of five Dallas cops lay in the morgue.

Thank God Donald J. Trump is our president, and not Mitt Romney, not Marco Rubio and not that nasty woman.

Looks like the Globalist are going to play with Trump some more .... make him do things to make him be discredited by those who currently support him.

But in the end see to it that Trump is discredited.  Then brought down .... as "sovereign" USA and the other "sovereign" nations must and will be eliminated.

To make way for the creation of the New World Order One World Government.

The whole thing is topsy turvy and up for grabs.

No one knows who's playing on who's side.

Gotta let the smoke clear.

Trump is not through at this point. It is WAR.

Trump has a major weakness that now has become obvious even to me, and that is his ego.

What he did was fire a guy who got media attention, sometimes more attention than Trump got.

All countries are analyzing this situation.

All leaders of every nation will be considering how to use this new tool, Trump's ego.

Some will lavish praise, knowing Trump just loves that, while others will attack the Trump ego directly to punish him.

I think this is a serious weakness that has been exposed.

All big shots have big egos, but most keep it under control and don't allow it to influence their decisions so much.

Everyone will be using this tool on Trump now.   It will become some sort of game to see what works.

There is a problem in using the ego tool on Trump.

That is because Trump never forgets, seldom forgives.

Rosy O'Donnell, Hollywood fat actress, found out the hard way that insulting Trump creates a life-long enemy.

Other people will find  that out the hard way too, as the media fills it's editorials with Trump hate.

So the ego tool is there to be used, but it can backfire.

Yep,

It is because we all possess ego, that fragile base to our very being.

Best regards.

The writer of the lead article is part of the problem;

He wrote,"Once Mr. Trump was in office, Mr. Bannon opposed the missile strike on Syria after President Bashar al-Assad used chemical weapons on his own people. "

So He's either a liar or deluded.  President Assad did not use chemical weapons on anyone.  But the US  uses them on anyone they please.  Vietnam, Waco, Iraq, Syria etc.

You broke down his argument superbly Ivan.

I hate it when they tack a lie (Assad used chemical weapons) onto a truth.(Bannon opposed missile strikes on Syria) to make it all sound true.

That's what creeps do.

Good job!

Thanks for another Russian lesson Nemesis.

61MrXE50RfL._UX385_.jpg

The problem was not with Trump's motto to "Make America Great Again". That would be his job and much of the world respected him for honesty as it is the responsibility of every world leader to work in the interest of his or her country..

The problem began, though it was already beginning before, when Trump said:

И Россия также

Things are very uneven because of the remnants of the "US Reign of Terror", the bushes, the clintons and obama and all the corrupt politicians and kikey trying to rule the planet.

It is quite a war internationally and for the US very much domestically, now.

Maybe there is a silver lining to the turmoil and we can not only drain the swamp but burn all the weeds.

Best regards

If one wishes to criticize Catholics, then one also has to criticize almost all protest-ant groups who are just little Romes.

And the Orthodox have adopted numerous Vatican doctrine.

In Russia they bought a Vatican idea and tortured and killed many Russians for not crossing their heart with the Vatican's recommended number of fingers.

With all the blood of innocents on our hands in America, how could we have ever been great?
