<<Compared2, are you serious? Simon lives in Belgium, do you honestly think that he would have the same TV schedule as you do in the US? Or even the same current affairs programmes?>>

I thought of that too. I thought he might have forgotten for a moment that I'm Belgian. I'm not sure I would like Satellite TV. Maybe just for Jay Leno and Conan O Brian.

I you only could understand Italian. You would be delighted by Berlusconis propaganda chanels. Best in UNIVERSE to prevent people from thinking. If you can, try Italia uno.

Silvio Berlusconi, from now on you will hear of him even in your medias. Because of Italias EU presidency and of his beeng under criminal investigation.
He is the bossulino.
Nice cap I can tell you. Bush=mini Bush= Berlusconi

Nevertheless

VIVA ITALIA :D

We heard a fair bit about Berlusconi when he first stood for election, none of it good!

Two of my closest friends, although we don't see each other as much as we used too as they live about 30 miles away, is a married couple. She is a Jew from Poland, and her husband is a Jew from Italy! He is very excitable, and she is very calm and dignified! Talk about opposites attract. Both are beautiful people!

At the time the husband was telling me all about Berlusconi but this was about 10 years ago and my memory isn't that good. But I do remember him saying that Berlusconi had links to the Mafia. Also, we have heard that he controls nearly all the media in Italy. Hmmmm! reminds me of another Italian we have all heard of!

The senate of old Rome rarely debated medias.
The senate of Italy only debates medias.

platy. If we both were in Italy and would dicusse Berlusconis Maffia connection in a bar, it could happen that somebody doesn't like it - with consequences. Sounds shaddy. Yet shaddy, but some people got the impression it could get worse.

Berlusconi: The first 500 millions he got to start with fini invest, his holding, they are shaddy to. Until now he didn't tell were they came from. And I am not talking about Lire, wouldn't have been much. In $ sounds a bit better. As Italians we shouldn't discusse, shouldn't we ?

thanks, I like how you play with words. Truly demagogic. :)

Both - you should try Tele Novela on Italia Uno. :D

LOL InsideB. Thank you for the advice. I shall keep my "oh! no's!" close by!

Yesterday I had a lot trouble bringing up the "reply" window in the "mon cher...." thread. You can imagine how this devastated me! Not able to "talk". I'm hoping it's ok today, however, I have to take my essay in to the Uni this afternoon, so I can't stay long here this morning.
