Strange,

American Eagle is far more annoying than RRBum was.

CAPITAL ALL OVER THE PLACE, up to 40 posts a day, non-stop creation of new threads with subjects already treated in other threads, etc.

RRBum was also part of the old Pravda forum.

Many of you calling for his banning are new and probably used to nice comfortable forums where extremist views are shunned. If you don`t like it leave, go to FreeRepublic, instead of chasing off the people you don`t agree with.

It is the nutcases who attracted me to Pravda in the first place, not the over sensitive, self righteous thought police.

Adrian is a very nice man. he seems to see the best in people and has a deep felt belief that people are all good at heart. he seems to feel proctective of others and is not inclined to shout or lose his temper.
none of the above is a qualification for moderating pravda.

Its not the first time he has been banned, I had a truce with him, it has held.

He could pick up "RailroadBum" and return, he has threatened to quit many times.

whatever..

Mat, hey, you speak me out of my heart.

Important is to estimate freedom of speech.
6 000 Millions of people are more or less
under permanent mental suppression.
Nevermind from whom. Starts by children, wife,
local politicians, business, national politic,
special laws, society, dictators, or even the churches.
Even if I would be a rebbe by myself, I
would leave this bloody virtual Hide Park
as it is , knowing about my own frustrations.

RRBum is banned?
I think that's crazy. I had stopped reading his posts ages ago after he practically accused me of being a Welshman.
Banning is no solution. As so many in this thread have pointed out before me, he was a standing example of what we ought NOT to be.
His views on Jews were the infinite in terms of hatred, I agree.
But what about a person who posts wishing that a hundred thousand more civilians should die in the next terrorist attack on the US?
Is he okay? Or do we have limits on infringement here?
What exactly are the rules?

That was my point. To come to Pravda and then complain because of the content is like visiting porn sites and complaining about the nudity.

I don`t want Pravda to become like FreeRepublic where only one type of ideology is permitted and people are banned because they upset delicate sensibilities. It`s boring.

I really don't care all that much one way or another whether RRBum is banned or not. He was on my "ignore" list because his postings had become so repetitive and boring. On the other hand, it seems that if this forum is to be useful for intellectual discussion of issues that such rantings by this neo-Nazi ought not to clutter up the threads. He really contributed nothing of substance except his sociopathic hate and fabrications.

I won't miss him.

CHORNYVOLK,
> I think we need moderators from "our" side .Too many from the western side.

I agree with you in this one, and thanks for not blaming me where I come from :)
It's strictly Dmitrys decision and responsability who he choose as moderators.

I've made a follow up discussion in this thread http://engforum.prav...&threadid=12335 because there are too many threads around to keep up with for me.

remember what I told you about moderating when you first got the job? Remember what I told you I contended with in the old forum?

It's about the most thankless job around in a forum such as this.

Do you remember the movie about the kids growing up on an Island and becoming completely out of control?

Interestingly, there is a parallel here. Those who believe there are no boundries cry when boundries are presented (that had ALWAYS been there).

Each one of these people "signed" an agreement when registering for this forum and they know it.

Yet they go on as if it is a God given right to dispute and slam those who would do what Pravda's editors don't have time to do.

The same people are complaining right now that complained on the old forum. Others don't have the backbone to defend those who try to do what is right. Thus, the moderators are alone on an Island and Pravda's Editors yet again stay silent while their moderators go down in "flames".

We do not have to explain ourselves to the members here. We were given the right to moderate the forum by Dmitry to the best of our ability. We have chosen to explain our actions as it is right and it is the fair thing. Atossa used to say "Psyops" when things disappeared or members were banned without explaination. We are doing the best we can. Let those who would complain about us re-read their agreement regarding posting here before they complain anymore. I do not agree with Plsek in regards to her views. Regarding her moderation, she has done well and has my complete support. You have gone up and beyond what any of us would be willing to do in trying to articulate your reasons for your actions. You have my respect in this regard. Those who continue to complain about the moderation have their blinders on and will never be happy..... EVER.

Moderation here means living on a very small island. At least this time, I have company. Too bad the waters rising and we are left by the powers that be to drown in the sea of discontent.

And pro-American does not necessarily = pro-Bush.
