Pacific...

You need to bone-up on your aircraft research. There are currently no planes in production that can take a Raptor in a combat scenario.

The big difference in the SU-37 and the F/A-22 Raptor is that the SU-37 is more or less a prototype, whereas the Raptor is in production with a dozen aircraft already delivered...and another 350 on-line.

The SU-37 also had problems with its thrust vectoring.

The Raptor is just as manuverable, has similar thrust/weight ratio, has stealth technology, supercruise without afterburners, longer range, and first-see, first kill capabilities.

Like I said, Russians may never have air superiority with a manned aircraft.

The JSF program (which includes the platform for the F/A-22) is hard to beat. One of the JSF variants is also capable of vertical take-off and landing.

>>F-22 with its max loooooow speed of Mach 1.8<<

that is at supercruise, not with afterburner

After burner is Mach 2.0plus

Correct me if I am wrong, but the F-22 is only the third aircraft capable of supercruise

the other two are

the Concorde
The SR-71

The F-22 has a little big problem its vectorial thrust is only on vertical dimension (up +20 degree and down -20 degree) and it's not simple to upgrading it.
Perhaps, Maybe, the Su-37 vectoring thrust is full in every direction (up, down, left, right, a cone 15 degree allround).

Arkan...

Not sure where you get your F/A-22 information, but its seriously flawed. You just keep on believing the Raptor is a flying piece of junk.

I looked at your links. It seems you're another anti-American, anti-semite Serb that blames everyone else for your problems.
That you support Slobodan Milosevic is telling.

Black Shark, or KAMOV 50, is a new Russian-developed multipurpose helicopter gunship
with properties unparalleled in other similar aircraft.

http://www.vor.ru/science/ka-50.jpg

It's the world's only one-seater in its class. A 30-mm cannon on board (tested in desert conditions in Saudi
Arabia and already exported) completely outclasses in accuracy the one carried by the US copter gunship
APACHE and also the one being developed for the reconnaissance and ground-attack gunship COMANCHE
(at least as far as can be judged by available reports).Interestingly, COMANCHE's designers are following the
canon concept implemented in KAMOV 50.
KAMOV 50 carries laser-guided anti-tank missiles VIKHR (Whirlwind) which pierce the strongest
armour now in use.
It also carries guided air-to-air missiles IGLA-V (Needle C), already extensively tested and sold to buyers
abroad. The Shark's avionics is largely in line with what is the norm for one-seater fighters and ground attack jets.
It's most remarkable feature is a remote targeting system with a capability to provide for a sudden deadly attack
from a distance that rules out direct visual contact with the target.
.........
roll over USA, Russians beat ya AGAIN!

<<More 3rd world countries buying untested russian krap!>>

Turkey isn't third world. Turkey also uses F-16 and is part of the NATO. Seems they can choose the best and if the best is apparently Kamov, it says something.

Cossack,

The problem is not whether or not Russia makes a better tank or a better plane, but that the Russian Armed Forces can't afford to buy the weapons! Without sizable purchases the cost remains high and this even hurts export sales.

C2W: Funny! Nice retort!

Black Shark. Might as well call it the Ghost (as in immaterial). Is it even in production? Can Russia afford it?

Baltoga's right. I myself have said the Russians have some good ideas. Will we ever see them on the battle field? Doubtful.

Hey, it's called "Simple Simon's Russian Junkyard and Co.". At least give me that respect. The Co. stand for Cossack.

Rich,

I think they are blind.

People here is another picture of the best Chopper ever built. You Americans do not have even alloys to build such a craft. You would have to buy it from the Russians!

http://www.aeronauti...amov/ka5013.jpg

when this baby zooms on you you're a-s-s is grass USA!

Personally I like ka-52 better

http://www.aeronauti...e/vvs/index.htm

Swiss Army is buying Ka-52s so does Austria, Germany, Italy and France

Hmmm...Maybe that's why it is built with ejection seats? :D No serious, if you're in an American chopper and shot down or have another major problem, there is a high chance you're screwed.

We've researched ejector seats for copters and rejected them. I can see why the Russias like them though. How many choppers did they lose in Afghanistan?

And Cossack, American technology regarding alloys is far superior to the Russians.
