The total civilian casualties on each side also indicate that Israel's attacks have strayed into terrorism. Only four Israeli civilians have been killed versus about a hundred in Lebanon and another hundred in Gaza.
No one can excuse genuine acts of terror by ragtag groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah. But neither should a great power, especially the US, look the other way while the Israel

Remember when Paul Wolfowitz was in the Defense Department?
He told Congress that the Iraqis will greet us as liberators and Iraqi oil will pay for the war and the reconstruction.
Well, about a half-trillion dollars and more than 2,500 dead Americans later, it is safe o say that Mr. Wolfowitz was wrong.
He was wrong about the greeting, wrong about the oil, wrong about the number of troops needed to occupy Iraq.
Fortunately, he's gone to the World Bank, where the only things he can screw up are economies.
Donald Rumsfeld was wrong, too.
He thought a light force could quickly end the war. Saddam Hussein' is obsoleted,
It's still fighting the insurrection that followed.
A few weeks ago, the U.S. military announced a major crackdown that was going to clean out Baghdad street by street, house by house.
Well, weeks later, the U.S. military announced that attacks in Baghdad have increased by 40 percent.
Last week, the Israelis sent a special-ops force into Lebanon to ambush the Hezbollah fighters.
Instead, Hezbollah ambushed the Israelis. .
Making war impossible without a formal declaration of war by Congress would be a good start. It's already in the Constitution. Politicians just ignore it.
Voters should penalize every politician who ignores the Constitution.
We need to amend the Constitution so that when there is a dim bulb in the White House, before the nuclear button.
The worst weapons in the world are controlled by one of the worst leaders in the world.
Until he learns to handle a hurricane, I don't think he should be trusted with World War III.
It would also be a good idea to cut off the air conditioning in the Senate and the House .. Idea of Charley Reese

you are right. This current invasion/war on Gaza and Lebanon is about destruction of Hamas and the Hizbollah. When Rice talks about not allowing things to go back to normal now that it has been halted and suffered major destruction, she wants what they did to Serbia- foreign occupation forces dictating the political set up which will deny Hisbollahs existence. This is the 'democracy' that the Zionists want. This what has happened to Iraq and Afghanistan and want the want for Iran.
The Arab League will have got the message that they arent doing anything about it, sio it has to be done by force.
Saudi Arabia has just increased defence spending but blaming Iran.

the policy of the USA, which has been carried to lebanon by ambassador rice is to tell other nations that the USA is the most powerful nation in the history of mankind.
" hey you watch-out for us; we can make your men prisoners and then force them to wear womens underwear, or even to commit suicide. and meanwhile we think that you can not see that we are cheating our veterans out of all their rights. we can make companies such as holly-burbone, and steal millions of dollars from ourselves. see we have democracy and you don't."
the truth is that the USA has a military which is not strong enuf to impliment the foreign policy of the CIA.

Bader; you are right.
Some an ancient animals, have changed little in 100 million years.
The skin typically is dull gray and tough and has toothlike scales. Most sharks have a muscular, asymmetrical, upturned tail; pointed fins; a pointed snout; and sharp triangular teeth.
Sharks have no swim bladder and must swim perpetually to keep from sinking.
Most species bear living young.
Evolution not every time adds brains , sometimes only ferocity, viciousness and cruelty.

In the Middle East, "logic" allows both sides to t attack civilians.
What is weird is that the Israelis are hurling their bombs at the wrong tribe.
It wasn't the Lebanese army that first took aim at innocents, yet the Israelis are now attacking .
These facilities are manned mostly by Christian Lebanese who had nothing whatsoever to do with the kidnapping of the two Israeli soldiers

Poland prepares nationalisation law
By Jan Cienski
Published: July 26 2006 03:00
Poland's conservative Law and Justice party government is preparing a law that would permit the nationalisation of companies crucial to national security in the event of an unwanted hostile takeover.
Lech Kaczynski, president, said the new national security law would include a measure that would allow for the appointment of government managers and, as a last resort, "nationalisation also comes into the picture. Of course this would be nationalisation through buy-out." Mr Kaczynski added: "It is not possible that we not exert complete control over our energy sector."

Thirty-one years ago,
when the Lebanese Civil War was at its height, the Syrians sent their army into Lebanon invited byf all people,
.At the time, then-Minister of Defense Shimon Peres and his associates created hysteria in Israel.
Two weeks before, the Israeli army had started a war against the population of the Arab regimes, which are all dependent on America, did nothing to help..
But tens of millions of Arabs, from the Atlantic Ocean to the Persian Gulf, saw, got excited and angry with their government, crying out for a leader who would bring succor to their besieged, heroic brothers.
The Israeli army believed that the Israeli onslaught would break the Palestinian people in Gaza and the Shiites in Lebanon.
Hezbollah is the authentic representative of the Shiite community, which makes up 40% of the Lebanese population. Together with the other Muslims, they are the majority in the country.
The idea that the weakling Lebanese government

Stripping the ``Party of God'' of its weapons is Israel's main condition for a cease-fire to end fighting that has left at least 405 Lebanese and 51 Israelis dead.
Israel today struck as many as 130 Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, using planes and artillery, a day after ruling out an increased land offensive.
``There's no force in Lebanon that can keep Hezbollah from throwing rockets into Israel,'' Bush, Blair
T. Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, the 46-year old Hezbollah leader, is confident that Lebanese military forces, which include sympathetic Shiite Muslims, won't confront his militia.
``The army refuses to be part of the plot against the Hezbollah,''
Hezbollah has about 12,000 rockets and has improved its technology with guided missiles .
Israel and USA are winning with Arabs because Hezbollah, Shiite and Sunni can not settle and go together.
I hope that this day is approaching.
