These people have already chose their friends and they will also accept the consequences for their choices and for the allies they really want and deserve.

There are some other American politicians that realized their mistake for that did to Greece.

But I believe that is too late now because trust is lost and Greeks are 99% against the American policy.

well like it or not you re in NATzO for 50 years and NATO has totl control over you it has total control over Albania and over Macedonia, and over Kosovo partial control over Bulgaria (cos this current goverment is a bit nostalgic toward Russia) But yet I read somewhere on BBC that Bulgaria is 'embaracement' for EU and they should change the goverment with some 'pro-european' and they deceived Serbia now and they will fully take over it soon... so Turkey is only one who can have a more independent say in NATO because it is a force on its own as well... and is contributing to NATO a lot....
But Balcan countries are just lousy pawns

The turn of Greece to Russia, the Greek -Russian agreements, The decision of Greece to don't buy weapons from the USA, The opposition of Greece to Bush plans...

All these don't sound to me as 100% control of NATO

I guess may be I am dumb azz? Why would two NATO countries fighting each other kill NATO?

What you think would happen? Some NATO countries side with one, and others side with other? Or may be they each run in different directions and get lost? It would not be end of NATO.

Well believe it or not but whole european people are against nato and hate NATO and consider it should stop to exist...

That is going to be only a very good excuse for NATO to stop to exist...

Besides NATO has a lot of probles on its own (for example wich should be the next country to invade...rather than infuriating conflicts between two powerfull and respectfull and in as you said important strategical position.

That would be the most stupidest thing yet to be seen in this world!

Yes I agree that Russia wants influence on the balcans (but not just Greece, but all the balcan countries, even Albania and Kosovo) but yet is not so interested on balcans as it is to preserve Ukraine and Georgia.
I think Russia just wants as much oil and gas pipelines to deal with balcan countries and then all balcan countries to enter in EU so EU to become more dependent on its resources...at least till now it looks to me that Russia is behaving like that but what do i know anyway
