What drives me batty is when they have the interview, but then have some whiny voiced translator laboring along, making the person being interviewed look like a fool...why not accurately translate the person's statement, then have it dubbed in later by a voice actor who actually sounds like them?

The North American/British press loves doing this to Putin, Ahmadinajad and Chavez...the last time I saw a Medvedev interview, he was chatting away in lovely, flowing Russian while some guy who sounded like a "Borat" extra huffed and puffed along...

"We...we want to let the NATO...NATO to know that...the people...the Russian people will not stand up...stand by...(etc)"

Well, that is why you should probably chek up the "RIA novositi" video. there they would probably be translated accuratelly with Russian who speaks english synhronization

Next Mr. Roth brings in democracy by implying that Russia has no right to assert True Values by itself.

On Kosovo:
there is a vast difference between Kosovo and South Osyetiya:
NATO assasins killed the stabilizing people in Kosovo and fostered an invasion of Albanian terrorists who then demanded "independence". I might add that NATO bombed Kosovo as well as Serbia. NATO wants "independence" for Kosovo not for the People of Kosovo, but for the puppet masters of NATO.
