In the Bible but not in the Quran (58): King David went on Pilgrimage to Mecca
Psalm 84 is talking about the pilgrimage of King David to the Holy House of the Lord.
The Holy House of the Lord is expressed in psalm 84 in three forms: In verse 1) as the dwelling place of the LORD In verse 2) as the courts of the LORD In verse 4) as the house of the LORD Well, we have a House of the Lord. But we all know that King Solomon built the House of the Lord in Jerusalem. Hence David was not talking about Jerusalem King David was talking about another house. In Psalm 84:5-6 you find that pilgrimage was done when David passed through the Valley of Baca. Then, what is Baca? Baca is Bakkah or Bekka or Becca or Bakka or Bacca; all are Mecca. Also King David, while he was in Bacca or Mecca, made a Prophecy about Muhammad. He said in Psalm 84:12 "Blessed is the man who trusts in you." The priests wanted to dishonor King David because he dwelled in Arabia, in the tents of Kedar, the son of Ishmael wherein there is the house of the Lord's glory (in Mecca) and also he made Prophecies about Muhammad and the Quran The Bible claims that King David Committed Adultery, Commanded to kill one of his best soldiers to hide his crime of adultery and to take his wife etc. ========= Psalm 84 (New International Version) 1 How lovely is your dwelling place, O LORD Almighty! 2 My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. 3 Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young— a place near your altar, O LORD Almighty, my King and my God. 4 Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you. Selah 5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage 6 As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools. 7 They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion 8 Hear my prayer, O LORD God Almighty; listen to me, O God of Jacob. Selah 9 Look upon our shield, O God; look with favor on your anointed one. 10 Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. 11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. 12 O LORD Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in you. ========= Psalm 84 is talking about the pilgrimage of King David to the Holy House of the Lord. The Holy House of the Lord is expressed in psalm 84 in three forms: In verse 1) as the dwelling place of the LORD In verse 2) as the courts of the LORD In verse 4) as the house of the LORD Well, we have a House of the Lord. In Psalm 84:5-6 you find that pilgrimage was done when David passed through the Valley of Baca. 5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage 6 as they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools. ------------ Then, what is Baca? Baca is Bakkah or Bekka or Becca or Bakka or Bacca; all are Mecca. In Verse 3:96 of the Noble Quran: QARIB: the first house ever to be built for people was that at Bakkah (Mecca) blessed and a guidance for the worlds. SHAKIR: most surely the first house appointed for men is the one at Bekka, blessed and a guidance for the nations PICKTHAL: lo! the first sanctuary appointed for mankind was that at Becca, a blessed place, a guidance to the peoples; YUSUFALI: the first house (of worship) appointed for men was that at Bakka: full of blessing and of guidance for all kinds of beings: Bakkah, Bekka, Becca, Bakka are different pronunciations of Bacca that is an alternative name of Mecca which is in Saudi Arabia. Kaaba, which is the Holy House of Allah, is present in Mecca (Bacca). Allah Commanded Abraham to build the Holy House of the Lord (Kaaba) in Mecca, and Abraham had done that mission. From the time of Abraham up till now, the pilgrimage to Mecca never stopped. All the messengers and Prophets including King David went on pilgrimage to Mecca. ------------ Also King David, while he was in Bacca or Mecca, made a Prophecy about Muhammad. He said in Psalm 84:12 "Blessed is the man who trusts in you." This is a simple but true prophecy about Muhammad. It is not applicable for the Lord Jesus; it talks about a man who put his trust in His God, the Lord. Read these verses of the Noble Quran to understand the Prophecy of King David about this man which is Muhammad. Verse 11:123 To Allah belongs the unseen in the heavens and in the earth; to Him the matter, in its entirety, shall be returned. Worship Him, and put your trust in Him. Your lord is not inattentive of the things you do. Verse 25:58 Put your trust in the ever-living who never dies, and exalt with his praise, He is sufficiently aware of his worshipers' sins. Verse 33:48 Do not obey the unbelievers and the hypocrites; pay no attention to their hurt. Put your trust in Allah; Allah suffices as a guardian. ========= King David in the Noble Quran The Quran honors King David very much. According to the Noble Quran, anyone says or believe that King David or any other prophet 1) Committed Adultery, 2) Tried to conceal his crime by another crime, 3) Commanded to kill one of his best soldiers to hide his crime of adultery etc. will have a terrible journey's end, in the Hereafter and will dwell in the Eternal Fire. Think you may have missed a Becca/Beqaa Valley, Obmar.
In Lebanon That would place David rather nearer but to the north of Jerusalem when he started his journey. And it fits with the close relations between the Jews and Phoenicians at the time.

Auld Nick, From from Muslim perpective the Story Begins with Adam and Eve.
After the incident that both were sent to earth they were separated for many years. They finally re-met at Mount of Mercy not far from Mekkah. AT the Valley of Mekkah they built the first house of Worship. Eve was buried in Jeddah. Then after the twelve generation, came the story of Abraham. Abraham and Ishmael Build the Kaaba After a separation of several years, again the father and son met. It was on this journey that the two built the Kaaba on God’s command as a permanent sanctuary; a place laid for the worship of God. It was here, in this same barren desert where Abraham had left Hagar and Ishmael earlier, that he supplicated to God to make it a place where they would establish the prayer, free from idol worship. “My Lord! Make safe this territory, and preserve me and my sons from worshipping idols. My Lord! Lo! They have led many of people astray. But whoever follows me, he verily is of me. And whoever disobeys me, still You are Forgiving, Merciful. Our Lord! Lo! I have settled some of my posterity in an uncultivable valley near to Your Holy House, our Lord! That they may establish proper worship; so incline some hearts of men that they may yearn toward them, and provide You them, with fruits in order that they may be thankful. Our Lord! Lo! You know that which we hide and that which we proclaim. Nothing in the earth or in the heaven is hidden from God. Praise be to God Who has given me, in my old age, Ishmael and Isaac! Lo! My Lord is indeed the Hearer of prayer. My Lord! Make me establish regular prayer, and some of my posterity (also), our Lord! And accept my prayer. Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents and believers on the Day when the account is cast.” (Quran 14:35-41) Now, years later, Abraham again in reunion with his son Ishmael, were to establish the honored House of God, the center of worship, to which direction people would their face when offering prayers, and make it a site of pilgrimage. There are many beautiful verses in the Quran describing the sanctity of the Kaaba and the purpose of its building. “And when we assigned to Abraham the place of the House: ‘Do not associate with Me anything, and purify My House for those who circumambulate it, who stand in prayer, and who bow, and prostrate themselves (all in prayer).’ And proclaim the Pilgrimage (Hajj) among people, and they shall come to you on foot, and on every lean camel. They shall come to you from every deep and distant mountain highways.” (Quran 22:26) “And when We made the House (the Kaaba) a resort for mankind and sanctuary, (saying): Take as your place of worship the place where Abraham stood (to pray). And We took a covenant with Abraham and Ishmael that they should purify My House (the Kaaba) for those who compass it round, devote themselves (to worship) in it, or bow, or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer).” (Quran 2:125) The Kaaba is the first place of worship appointed for all of humanity for the purpose of guidance and blessing: “Indeed the first House (of worship) appointed for humanity is that at Bakka: Full of blessing and of guidance for all the worlds. In it are Signs Manifest; (such as), the Station of Abraham; whoever enters it attains security; Pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to God,- those who have the ability.” (Quran 22:26-27) Prophet Muhammad , may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him, said: “Indeed this place has been made sacred by God the day He created the heavens and the earth, and it will remain so until the Day of Judgment.” (Saheeh Al-Bukhari, Saheeh Muslim) The Prayers of Abraham Indeed, the building of a sanctuary to be held by all latter generations was one of the best forms of worship men of God could do. They invoked God during their feat: “Our Lord! Accept from us (this duty). Lo! You, only You, are the Hearer, the Knower. Our Lord! And make us Muslims (submissive to You) and of our seed a Muslim nation (submissive to You), and show us our ways of worship, and forgive toward us. Lo! You, only You, are the Forgiving, the Merciful. Our Lord!” (Quran 2:127-128) “And (remember) when Abraham said, “My Lord, make this city (Mecca) a place of security and provide its people with fruits, such of them as believe in God and the Last Day...” (Quran 2:126) Abraham also prayed that a prophet be raised from the progeny of Ishmael, who would be the inhabitants this land, as the progeny of Isaac would inhabit the lands of Canaan. “And raise up in their midst a Messenger from among them who shall recite to them Your revelations, and shall instruct them in the Scripture and in wisdom and shall purify them of their sins. Lo! You, only You, are the Mighty, the Wise.” (Quran 2:127-129) Auld Nick, David was years after Abraham, so it would not be a strange thing for David to do the pilgrimage to Mekkah. In fact I onced asked, if the were missing parts/ dissappearance in other prophets before Muhammad it could be that they were performing the ritual, in accordance to God's declaration: ‘Do not associate with Me anything, and purify My House for those who circumambulate it, who stand in prayer, and who bow, and prostrate themselves (all in prayer).’ And proclaim the Pilgrimage (Hajj) among people, and they shall come to you on foot, and on every lean camel. They shall come to you from every deep and distant mountain highways.” (Quran 22:26)

Psa 51:1 <To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.> Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. You are making accusations about the priests that are not true. King David was held in very high esteem and unlike Muslims, we understand that mankind is not perfect and we all have sin in our life to some degree. You foolishly ascribe perfection to the prophets even though they are mere humans. None but the living God are perfect.

"all my performance is not me," he said, Nothing happens He does not permit it to happen. I have nothing. i

I see no problem understanding the "Valley of Baca" to be identified with mulberry-trees, or a large shrub, which the Arabs still call baca. Much as "Cedars" are identified with "Lebanon". Psa 29:5 The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; the LORD shatters the cedars of Lebanon. Son 5:10 My love is fit and strong, notable among ten thousand. Son 5:11 His head is purest gold. His hair is wavy and black as a raven. Son 5:12 His eyes are like doves beside streams of water, washed in milk and set like jewels. Son 5:13 His cheeks are like beds of spice, towers of perfume. His lips are lilies, dripping with flowing myrrh. Son 5:14 His arms are rods of gold set with topaz. His body is an ivory panel covered with sapphires. Son 5:15 His legs are alabaster pillars set on pedestals of pure gold. His presence is like Lebanon, as majestic as the cedars. Isa 2:12 For a day belonging to the LORD of Hosts is coming against all that is proud and lofty, against all that is lifted up--it will be humbled-- Isa 2:13 against all the cedars of Lebanon, lofty and lifted up, against all the oaks of Bashan, Isa 2:14 against all the high mountains, against all the lofty hills, Isa 2:15 against every high tower, against every fortified wall, Isa 2:16 against every ship of Tarshish, and against every splendid sea vessel. Isa 2:17 So human pride will be brought low, and the loftiness of men will be humbled; the LORD alone will be exalted on that day. Quote:

I wouldn't put to much stalk in the word "pilgrimage", Obmar.
That is an English word that is also a synonym for excursion, tour. 1 HOW LOVELY are Your tabernacles, O Lord of hosts! 2 My soul yearns, yes, even pines and is homesick for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out and sing for joy to the living God. 3 Yes, the sparrow has found a house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young--even Your altars, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God. 4 Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are those who dwell in Your house and Your presence; they will be singing Your praises all the day long. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! 5 Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man whose strength is in You, in whose heart are the highways to Zion. 6 Passing through the Valley of Weeping (Baca), they make it a place of springs; the early rain also fills [the pools] with blessings. 7 They go from strength to strength [increasing in victorious power]; each of them appears before God in Zion. 8 O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! 9 Behold our shield [the king as Your agent], O God, and look upon the face of Your anointed! 10 For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand [anywhere else]; I would rather be a doorkeeper and stand at the threshold in the house of my God than to dwell [at ease] in the tents of wickedness. 11 For the Lord God is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows [present] grace and favor and [future] glory (honor, splendor, and heavenly bliss)! No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. 12 O Lord of hosts, blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts in You [leaning and believing on You, committing all and confidently looking to You, and that without fear or misgiving]! ~Aplified Bible~ Psa 84:1 [For the leader. On the gittit. A psalm of the sons of Korach:] How deeply loved are your dwelling-places, Adonai-Tzva'ot! Psa 84:2 My soul yearns, yes, faints with longing for the courtyards of Adonai; my heart and body cry for joy to the living God. Psa 84:3 As the sparrow finds herself a home and the swallow her nest, where she lays her young, [so my resting-place is] by your altars, Adonai-Tzva'ot, my king and my God. Psa 84:4 How happy are those who live in your house; they never cease to praise you! (Selah) Psa 84:5 How happy the man whose strength is in you, in whose heart are [pilgrim] highways. Psa 84:6 Passing through the [dry] Baka Valley, they make it a place of springs, and the early rain clothes it with blessings. Psa 84:7 They go from strength to strength and appear before God in Tziyon. Psa 84:8 Adonai, God of armies, hear my prayer; listen, God of Ya`akov. (Selah) Psa 84:9 God, see our shield [the king]; look at the face of your anointed. Psa 84:10 Better a day in your courtyards than a thousand [days elsewhere]. Better just standing at the door of my God's house than living in the tents of the wicked. Psa 84:11 For Adonai, God, is a sun and a shield; Adonai bestows favor and honor; he will not withhold anything good from those whose lives are pure. Quote:
King David was a man after God's own heart. Then what happened with Bathsheba? David had his weaknesses, like all of us. King David and Bathsheba, I’ve been thinking about these 2 lovebirds for a couple of weeks now and I still wonder: Now, what was David thinking? Maybe things were getting too good for David. He was King of Israel and Judah. The kingdom was prospering. God seemed to bless everything that David touched. This is DAVID! King of Israel! Psalm writer! “A man after God’s own heart”! (Acts 13:22) 2 Samuel 11:1 says: “In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, David sent Joab out with the king’s men and the whole Israelite army. They destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem.” Right away, there’s something wrong. The verse tells us that in spring, kings go to war. But David’s not going. In the previous chapter David had just led his army over the Jordan River and on to victory over the Arameans. Why the spring? Because the winter was a rainy season and it was just too difficult to move horses and chariots through the mud and water. So they didn’t go to war in winter, but waited ‘til spring. It was customary for the King to lead his troops into battle. But King David must have decided that the army didn’t need him…he was taking it easy. Of course, in springtime, a young man’s fancy might be turned to other things besides war, if you know what I mean. The story continues: “One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful, and David sent someone to find out about her. The man said: “Isn’t this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite?” Then David sent messengers to get her. She came to him, and he slept with her. Then she went back home. The woman conceived and sent word to David, saying, “I am pregnant”. Now, David getting up from his bed in the evening is not that unusual. It is normal in the east to take a nap in the afternoon, during the hottest part of the day. But getting up in the evening does make it sound like he’s really taking it easy! He must be getting bored, sleeping in like that. David sent messengers to find out who she was. This is the part I don’t get. 1) She’s married, for heaven’s sake! That should have put a stop to it right there! David’s had at least 10 wives that I know of and concubines, too. And the penalty for adultery was death back then, (Although I suppose Kings had some immunity from punishment for that crime since they were already allowed all the wives they wanted!) 2) Not only was she married, Bathsheba is the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite. Now, these names are important. 2 Samuel 23 tells us about David’s “Mighty Men”. These are loyal men, David’s bodyguards and heroes of the army. There are 37 “Mighty Men” listed in 2 Samuel 23. Eliam and Uriah are two of these 37 mighty men. So, even knowing all this, David sends for Bathsheba. Now, some make a big deal out of the fact that she didn’t put up a fight, didn’t resist. I don’t think she had much choice in the matter. This was the great and powerful King David asking for HER! What an honor! What a privilege! But again, I have to ask: What was he thinking? He must have gotten used to getting what he wanted, when he wanted it. If he already had at least 10 wives plus concubines, I don’t think he was so deprived that he needed to add another notch for Bathsheba. Here’s what David did wrong: 1)Bathsheba was married to someone else. 2) David knows whose wife she is, but selfishly has his way anyway. Then he attempts to deceive everyone by trying to get Uriah to spend the night with his wife. Then it will seem like she’s pregnant by her husband! (Uriah shames David because Uriah is too honorable to sleep at home while his army is out fighting! He sleeps at the door of the palace, with the servants.) David arranges for Uriah’s death. A total abuse of power. He can’t face Uriah, after what he’s done, so he has him killed, rather than admit his sin. I think the headlines might read: God’s favorite king in illicit affair! Hero of the Bible implicated in adultery and murder! King David steals generals wife then has him executed! So, basically, this King, Psalmist, leader of the army is now an adulterer and a murderer. This is the same man that wrote so many of those beautiful, tender Psalms. One of which is Psalm 51, a Psalm of repentance written shortly after his affair with Bathsheba. It’s stories like this that add authority and authenticity to the Bible. Don’t you think that if you were writing the Bible, you might try to cover up this blemish on the Royal Line? David eventually marries Bathsheba and they have a son named Solomon. It was Solomon who had the Temple built and wrote the Proverbs. The one of whom it’s written that when God asked Solomon what he wanted most, Solomon asked for wisdom. David, Bathsheba and Solomon are all in the family tree of Jesus as revealed in Matthew’s genealogy. Solomon being listed as “the son of Bathsheba, who had been Uriah’s wife” So, it’s there in 2 Samuel and in the Gospels! Talk about skeletons in the closet! What, you may be asking, is my point? My point is, the story doesn’t end here. David doesn’t get away with it as far as keeping his dirty little secret. He certainly can’t keep it a secret from God. And God won’t let David get away with it either. Even though David commits a callous and heartless act in stealing another man’s wife and then having that man murdered, he is still Israel’s king and after he confessed it, he is forgiven. Even God’s chosen one, King David, had spiritual weaknesses, and we all do. SOURCE |

Brigitta,
Let's have a peek of what was revealed about David. Al-Baqara (The Cow) 2:251 And thereupon, by God's leave, they routed them. And David slew Goliath; and God bestowed upon him dominion, and wisdom, and imparted to him the knowledge of whatever He willed. And if God had not enabled people to defend themselves against one another, [242] corruption would surely overwhelm the earth: but God is limitless in His bounty unto all the worlds. An-Nisa (The Women) 4:163 BEHOLD, We have inspired thee [O Prophet] just as We inspired Noah and all the prophets after him - as We inspired Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and their descendants, including Jesus and Job, and Jonah, and Aaron, and Solomon; and as We vouchsafed unto David a book of divine wisdom; [1 Al-An'am (The Cattle) 6:84 And We bestowed upon him Isaac and Jacob; and We guided each of them as We had guided Noah aforetime. And out of his offspring, [We bestowed prophethood upon] David, and Solomon, and Job, and Joseph, and Moses, and Aaron: for thus do We reward the doers of good;
