Ukraine ready to split ?

Last night I made a call to little town in Ukraine not to faraway from E-40”Interstate” road.
The mood is grim and the aria (according to the people over there) is ready to receive Russian help and split from Kiev. They said that they do not like it one iota and that Kiev went too far by siding with Gruzia (Georgia) against Russia.

I believe that this is the mood in Ukraine, specially in the East and in Crimea, where most people are pro-Russia. But do you think they will take on arms and fight to get free from the central government?

It seems that most Ukrainians are some what mentally and morally retarded, so they are not very good as friends. Most will apply for welfare checks and just drain Russia instead of helping it...

Bosnia is directly opressed by US/EU and don't have backing by Serbia proper quislings.

Ukarine people are opressed by US-paid traitors and Russia is near by, ready to defend it's people no mater in what country they are located as Medvedev promissed and did.

My point was that spliting does not come so easilly.

Actually it will never come but it will cost millions of deaths, devastation, tragedy and weakening of both sides and more feasible to become banana republicks...

It could bring total hummiliation to the goverment of russia as well...


It will be only worse never better. and you will loose Ukraine forever... It will become your most passionate haters even more passionate then Poles.

I do not know if they are ready.... but one think I knew and felt was a lot of passion in their voices.

No one is saying that will be easy,the pain and suffering are just what you pay for your independence.Do not forget that there are 17% of Russian in east Ukraine which are not pleased with Kiev's regime.Beside that part of the world is still looking for it's place.....more to come.....

Your points are well taken. On the other hand - Russia is looking at a SURVIVAL scenario. HATO will take control of Sevastopol naval base/Crimea in less than 10 years. HATO has made its intentions toward Russia crystal clear, refusing to negotiate over the missle shields to be put in Poland and Ukraine, surrounding Russia with military bases, black ops attacks on Russian civilians such as Beslan, the Moscow theater, bombing longtime Russian allies such as Serbia, etc. Russia can only back down so long and so much.

The Bear is Back and HATO is going to have to deal with it. Based on the `New Model' of Kosovo - it's all about secession and ETHNIC SELF DETERMINATION now. So Russia has every right to take eastern Ukraine back under its wing; if that's what Russian Ukrainians vote for.
