NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, EVER, will a defector be sent back to Russia.

(With the single exception of hundreds of Soviet soldiers who wanted to stay in Germany after the war but were sent back anyway).

Why?

Because the defectors DON'T WANT TO GO BACK, unless of course, they do.

Same with Mr. Snowden.   He will return to America when and if he wants, and not a minute sooner.

And if he does return, I predict it will not be during the time that Obama remains president-alleged.

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER.

Never.

Ever.

When Russia asks, the answer is always negative.  No.  Nyet.

I once discussed the whole double standard issue with a Canadian security and intelligence insider.  He said the Canadian government will never give up its veiled hostility toward Russia, because Russia is seen as a competitor in the global trade for natural resources and raw materials.  So in other words, Canada's foreign policy regarding Russia is probably being dictated by a bunch of mining stock promoters, and their masters whoever they may be.  What I find astonishing is that the USA is not seen as a competitor, despite its penchant for economic colonialism.
