Time to move on to Linux Mint.    You want the 32 bit version for old computers, 64 bit for newer ones.

Then your old computer will become as good as the latest model.

1.   Download the latest version of Linux Mint

2.   Check the Mint OS download for errors using MD5 freeware

2.   Burn the ISO image file onto a DVD disk

3.   Install Linux OS into your Windows computer.

It takes about 1 day to do it all.

Mint is #1 best OS ever - better than Windows.

Easiest of all to use, easy to update, easy to install and remove software programs.

Did I mention Linux is free?    FREE!!!!!!!

And it's faster and more error free than anything Microsoft or IBM ever sold.

And updates are free.

Application programs are free.

You can even write your own programs for your software, for free.

The only thing that isn't free is the electricity and the computer.

A day? I could do that within a couple of hours, though backing personal data up from the original system could lengthen that a bit.

Not that Atossa would be capable of any of this. She doesn't sound particularly tech-savvy. Let her use her Microsoft spyware OS loaded with trojans and back-doors.

As for YouTube, I don't know what Traveler is on about. They don't censor content. Upload and view all the wackiness you want.

Zharkov reply:

You probably are experienced in Windows installs.   You should actually try installing Mint and see how long it takes you.

I know it takes at least 2 hours just to install Mint and all the updates from the internet, to which you must be connected to when installing the software.   The install is slow even with the fastest internet connection, computer and dvd drive.   The slowness is due to the software installing itself very slowly and carefully, not the internet connection.    The ISO download is usually outdated, so the updates are massive during installation and the installation takes much longer than with Windows.

And after it is installed, you have e-mail to set up, browser links to set up, passwords to enter, a lot of programs you will want to download and install, so 1 day is a very conservative estimate.    It could take much longer.

But it is all worth the trouble, by far.   You get a very stable, fast operating system with the latest browser, flash software, and free programs for all kinds of stuff for video editing, sound editing, word processing, complete office suite, just about everything you could want.

Yes, I know you think computers are Jewish and the work of the devil, so you won't be rewarding Satan by buying a new one.

My point is that you probably don't need to buy anything, just upgrade to Linux and your computer can do everything a new one could do, even if it is not as fast as a new one.

As for shielding your mind from images and thoughts of the bolshevik world around you, good luck with that.

I don't share your passion for isolation.    My mind craves input of all kinds - economics, politics, law, science, mechanics, engineering, banking, computers, even humor and entertainment.

As you red army trolls prove to me over and over again...
I don't belong in your evil jew/nwo. Nor do I want the
latest bells and whistles to connect/interact with it.

My friends kept telling me to get a computer... but I kept
resisting it. Then in August 1999 I saw the one foretold
in my August 1993 dream, Russia's new Tsar. He is the only
reason I came on line... the only reason I began posting
on Russia Today forum in 2000 and Pravda forum in 2001.
I've always had it in my mind that my computer would last
until my Putin mission was over.

Putin is Tsar as foretold... but not the Tsar I had envisioned.
What's left for me here is "derision for disappointed hopes."

Atossa almost amish.....

I live in a house built in 1967.

For the most part, I live as Americans did in 1967.

That is my personal preference... but ironically the late 60s was the zenith of the American empire.
