The Chinese Navy has put the U.S. military on notice, warning them to remove a US warship currently patrolling the South China Sea, or face "consequences" from China.

A US warship was told to leave the area as it sailed within 12 nautical miles of the Spratly Island "without permission" according to Beijing.

Rt.com reports: After the USS Dewey guided missile destroyer entered waters near the disputed land "without permission from the Chinese government," the country's navy "warned it to leave," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang said at a news conference on Thursday, as cited by AFP.

China slammed the recent US patrol, saying that it "undermines China's sovereignty and security interests." Beijing urged Washington to "correct this mistake" and refrain from further provocations that can undermine the "peace and security of the region" as well as bilateral cooperation between the US and China.

"Stop taking further provocative actions that hurt China's sovereignty and maritime interests, so as to avoid hurting peace and security of the region and long term cooperation between the two countries," Lu Kang stated. He added that these patrols can "cause unexpected air and sea accidents," Reuters reports.

The 'USS Dewey' guided missile destroyer entered Mischief Reef in the Spratly Islands, within 12 nautical miles of the disputed land, on Wednesday. Coastal waters extending 12 nautical miles are identified as territorial waters by the 1982 United Nations Convention, meaning the US entry challenges China's territorial claims.

The Spratly Islands have been at the center of territorial disputes between China, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei and Taiwan as the region is strategically important for trade. Beijing's claims to nearly all of the resource-rich South China Sea and its construction of military facilities on the islets have been criticized by US authorities. China has consistently said that it will resolve the dispute with its neighbors, rejecting a 2016 Hague tribunal ruling which did not approve the Chinese claims and ruled in favor of the Philippines.

US warships had been spotted in the region previously, but the Wednesday entry is the first since Donald Trump took office. In the meantime, the US president is seeking support from his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, to restrain North Korea, which continues to hold nuclear and missile tests.

The supplying of weapons, funding, and other support, to armed groups fighting a foreign government is a violation of international law.

Let's not hear the words "international law" come out of Washington in the future.

Especially when the topic moves on to the South China Sea.

China & Russia Begin Joint Naval Drills In Disputed South China Sea

12 September 2016.

China & Russia Begin Joint Naval Drills In Disputed South China Sea

Beijing has announced that China and Russia will begin large scale naval drills on Monday in the disputed South China Sea.

The Chinese navy released a statement on Sunday saying that the "Joint Sea-2016" exercises, which are to be conducted in an area off China's southeastern province of Guangdong, will feature ships, submarines, fixed-wing aircraft and ship-borne helicopters.

Press TV reports:

The two countries will carry out defense, rescue, and anti-submarine operations, as well as "island seizing" and other activities, the statement added.

Describing the exercises as "the largest operation ever" conducted jointly by the two countries, the Chinese Navy further stressed that the forces will participate in live-fire drills, island defense and landing operations.

The South China Sea is the subject of a territorial dispute between China and several regional countries.

In July, a Hague-based court of arbitration ruled that China's claim of sovereignty over disputed areas in the sea or its resources had no legal basis. The case was filed by the Philippines, whose economic and sovereign rights, the court said, had been violated by Beijing.

China has dismissed the ruling, saying it does not recognize the tribunal's arbitration in the dispute.

Beijing claims almost all of the South China Sea, which is also claimed in part by Taiwan, Brunei, Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines. The contested waters are rich in oil and gas.

China and Russia have increased their military training cooperation in recent years. The two countries have been holding naval drills in the Pacific waters since 2012.

China Tests Intercontinental Missile With Ten Warheads

February 1, 2017

The multi-warhead weapon was tested amid growing tensions with the United States

China has reportedly tested a new version of a long range missile capable of carrying ten nuclear warheads, amid growing tensions with the United States.

The DF-5C missile was flown in January using 10 multiple independently-targetable reentry vehicles (MIRVs).

The test represents a shift in China's nuclear policy according to defense officials. It suggests that the China is increasing the number of warheads in its military. Experts say China has around 250 nuclear warheads.

RT reports:

In the flight test of the DF-5C missile conducted in January, the rocket was fired from the Taiyuan Space Launch Center in central China and to an impact range in the western Taklamakan desert, reports the Washington Free Beacon's senior editor, Bill Gertz, citing US defense sources.

The missile was carrying a multiple independently targetable reentry vehicle (MIRV) bus containing ten inert warheads. Earlier versions of the DF-5 have either a single warhead or from six to eight MIRVs, according to estimates.

Gertz says the development may indicate a shift in China's nuclear deterrence policy to modify older rockets with new MIRV busses, which could mean China intends to increase the number of warheads it possesses. It is currently estimated to have about 250. This would, in turn, force the US to review its own deterrence strategy in order to find a balance between China's growing capacity and Washington's nuclear limitation commitment to Russia.

Another theory is that the test was part of the development of a MIRVed payload that will eventually be used on the more advanced DF-41 missiles. China tested a DF-41 in April of last year and reportedly deployed some of the missiles earlier this month in the northern Heilongjiang Province, which borders Russia.

China is estimated to have about 20 DF-5 missiles, which have two stages and range of over 12,000 kilometers. The drawback of its liquid-propellant design is that it takes up to two hours to fuel and prepare for launch.

The test comes amid a period of heightened tensions between China and the US in the wake of the election of Donald Trump as America's 45th president. Trump has threatened to oppose China on a number of fronts, from its military build-up in the South China Sea to its monetary policy. He has even cast doubt on Washington's long-standing commitment to the "one China policy," which regards Taiwan as one with mainland China governed by Beijing.

Officials in Beijing have warned Trump against entering a confrontation, while some Chinese government media outlets have published a number of reports calling for strengthening the Chinese military to compensate for an increased perceived threat from the US.

Unlike China, the US has not pledged not to use nuclear weapons in a first strike, although the nuclear option is reserved for only dire circumstances in US military doctrine.

Wu-14 and Yu-71

Russia Yu-71, US Prompt Global Strike and China's Wu-14 Hypersonic missile programs

01 August 2015.

Adm. Cecil D. Haney, Strategic Command's (Stratcom) senior leader, said during remarks at a nuclear deterrence conference that despite arms control efforts, hypersonic weapons are among several threatening strategic trends emerging in the world.

China has conducted four flight tests of a 7,000 mile-per-hour maneuvering strike vehicle, and Russia is developing high-speed weapons and reportedly tested a hypersonic weapon in February.

Haney said the Pentagon is developing capabilities that can be used to counter hypersonic arms.

Stratcom is in charge of U.S. nuclear weapons and warfighting, and is tasked with protecting and countering threats to strategic space systems and cyberspace, which is used for command and control of both conventional and nuclear weapons.

Preparing for War with Russia and China: America's Quest for Global Domination Depends on Space Technology

29 October 2016.

The US, dragging the western allies behind them, is preparing for war with Russia and China.  Washington also wants India 'onside' for obvious reasons of geography, history, and growing economic power.  The US also needs allies with some money to help pay for the Pentagon's endless war machine that is heavily dependent on expensive space technology.

GETTING INDIA "ONSIDE"

Washington wishes to bring India under its 'Space Command' so that all its military will be run through the Pentagon space warfighting satellite program.  A term 'interoperability' has been coined to describe the process where all allies must have suitable warfighting systems that can be technically run through the US Space Command system.  In the end this means the US is controlling the deadly tip of the spear because no other nation has all the satellites and ground stations around the globe that give Washington the ability to see everything on Earth, hear everything, and ultimately target every place on the planet.

All the new NATO allies (and 'partners' like Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand) are being brought into the global military alliance to control and dominate the planet on behalf of western corporate capitalism.  That means London-Washington-Brussels-Paris-Berlin running the world. Russia, China, Iran, Syria, North Korea, Brazil, Venezuela, Cuba and a few other nations are on the list for 'regime change' in the coming years.  They still stand outside full control by the western bankers and militarists.

The recent formation of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) alternative economic institution would loan money to developing countries and not exploit them the way western bankers do using the IMF and World Bank as their tools of domination.  The west is not happy about BRICS and thus we saw the leader of Brazil was recently dethroned in a coup essentially orchestrated by Washington.

Raytheon's global missile system.

The US-NATO alliance is not happy to currently see many nations around the world begin to stand up against this long run of western imperialism.  The BRICS nations are calling for a multi-polar world and the US demands to remain as the unipolar leader of the planet.  Washington appears willing to go to war to defend its collapsing empire.

The US is like a cowboy gambler with a black hat on a Mississippi riverboat playing cards.  The cowboy looks around and sees himself surrounded by those he has exploited for years.  He thinks his only way out is to start shooting - the law of the west.  That, I think, is essentially still the foreign and military policy of the US.  Its part arrogance and part fear that the world has woken up at last and is rejecting the cowboy mentality of 'full spectrum dominance'.

A HISTORY OF DOMINANCE

Growing global poverty and the reality of climate change though are banging on Washington's front door.  The corporations are trying to make money from climate change - their love for the dollar bill is so great that they cannot see beyond their lust for power and greed.  I call them pirates.

The pirates have buried a treasure chest in the US - it is our national treasury created from the taxes from the people's hard work.  About 55% of every federal tax dollar under the discretion of Congress goes to the Pentagon.  America has become a war culture.  Our economy is addicted to military production.  People are increasingly  being indoctrinated that the 'Muslims' are coming to attack us so we must spend more on weapons for war and we must have the very best space technology system in place to protect ourselves.  We are a paranoid nation - massive guilt and fear comes from our long legacy of genocide.

First was the destruction of the Native Americans and then the illegal and immoral importation of slaves from Africa.  During the days of slavery that very institution became America's dominant economic institution.  Slave labor made America rich.  This (let's call it fascist) element of our culture might have lost the civil war in the 1860's but they are running the country today.  We have a wedding in America of the government and corporate power - they are one in the same.  Democracy has been drowned in the United States.

Raytheon sea-launched missiles.

Thus no one anywhere on our Mother Earth should ever listen to the moralistic preaching that comes from Washington about democracy, freedom, peace, or the rule of law.  It's all Hollywood talk - a scripted propaganda machine that has sold an image to the world.  Fortunately the initial shine has worn off the Stars & Stripes and most people around the globe clearly understand what is really going on.

THE "PIVOT TO ASIA"

I have been working on space issues for the last 33 years and today coordinate the Global Network Against Weapons & Nuclear Power in Space.  We are very worried about aggressive US moves to create more conflict with Russia and China - in particular the Pentagon claim that the US Space Command should "control and dominate space and deny other nations the use of space".

The dangerous notion of US 'exceptionalism' has now been extended to outer space.  In order to successfully operate the current US global space war fighting system 'downlink ground stations' have been based around the world to relay military communications from one place to another via space satellites. Activists around the planet are opposing the presence of these Star Wars bases in their communities and are the active membership of the Global Network.

The US today is feverishly deploying so-called "Missile Defense" (MD) systems around the globe - essentially encircling Russia and China.  Added to that is Obama's provocative 'pivot' of 60% of US military forces into the Asia-Pacific - what the Pentagon calls 'rebalancing'.  This pivot is dangerous and hugely expensive, so costly that Washington's allies in are being pressured to help pay for the program.

US military bases around China.

China imports 80% of its resources on ships and thus we see the Pentagon 'pivot' as a military strategy to possibly block China's sea routes - literally putting a loaded gun to Beijing's head.  China has responded by building a couple new bases on tiny coral reefs to ensure their unhampered access to the sea lanes in their region.

TRIGGERING WWIII

Sadly Washington is now run by corporate interests who have determined that America's role under globalization of the world economy will be 'security export' which translates to endless war.  The number one industrial export product of the US today is weapons.  When weapons are your #1 industrial export, what is the global marketing strategy for that product line?

Despite Pentagon claims that they are out to create peace, democracy and stability around the world with their more than 800 military bases, quite the opposite is the truth.  I came away from recent trips to Japan, Okinawa, and South Korea seeing that the expansion of US bases in the Asia-Pacific is largely about creating the military infrastructure to take down China and Russia.

Thousands of Japanese protest US bases.

Add up the current US 'pivot' into the Asia-Pacific; the Japanese Shinzo Abe government's 'reinterpretation' of peaceful Article 9 in their constitution to allow Tokyo to deploy offensive military forces; the destabilizing US-Japan-South Korean military alliance; and we find the makings of a very aggressive program that could easily trigger World War III.

The Chinese and Russian governments have repeatedly said that they would like to reduce their nuclear forces but cannot do it as long as the US is encircling their countries with MD systems.  China and Russia each year go to the United Nations and introduce a new treaty to ban all weapons in space.  The US and Israel (which has 200 nuclear weapons) annually block serious negotiations on that important treaty.  Both Russia and China have been forced to expand their military operations and to even build more nuclear weapons as they face the US MD program and an expanding NATO.

When Japan recently launched a satellite into space few took notice.  When North Korea launches a satellite or test fires a missile the world screams bloody murder.  Clearly the US and its allies are hypocrites as they lecture North Korea and Iran about weapons of mass destruction but at the same time they are creating the largest military buildup in world history. US foreign military occupation must end if there will ever be true world peace. The Global Network is determined to do what we can to help build such a peace with justice.  We are grateful to those in India who are working so hard to put an end to this madness.

We need peace workers in India to educate your fellow citizens about US plans to bring Delhi into the Pentagon's Space Command program aimed at China.  We hope you can help prevent this growing danger of WW III that could consume the entire planet in a hell fire of nuclear war. Our governments need to be dealing with the reality of climate change and growing global poverty.  We must demand they convert the expensive military industrial complex to sustainable technology development to help us protect the future generations. Keep going - we all need each other.  Holding hands let us work together.

Japan, Vietnam reaffirm pledge to coordinate in South China Sea row with China

21 November 2016.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang have affirmed their commitment to peacefully resolving disputes in the South China Sea in line with international law, as Japan prepares to provide Hanoi with patrol ships to strengthen its maritime law enforcement capabilities.

Meeting on the sidelines of the Pacific Rim summit in Lima, Abe and Tran agreed to promote their domestic procedures to implement the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a 12-nation free trade agreement, according to Japan's Foreign Ministry.

Preparations are underway to provide the patrols ships promised to Vietnam in September, Abe told Quang.

Vietnam is among several countries embroiled in territorial disputes with Beijing in the South China Sea.

Abe promised Japan's full support to Vietnam for its hosting of next year's summit of the 21-member Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum.

Quang meanwhile praised a planned visit to Vietnam next spring by Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko.

In separate talks, Abe and U.S. President Barack Obama agreed to continue close bilateral coordination in promoting the TPP and handling other international issues, the ministry said.

Abe and Obama, who will leave office in January, hailed each other's leadership in strengthening the Japan-U.S. alliance for the peace and prosperity of the Asia-Pacific region.

In a meeting with James Soong, chairman of Taiwan's People First Party, Abe said he hopes Beijing and Taipei will promote peaceful relations through dialogue, and that stable cross-strait ties will contribute to peace and prosperity in East Asia, according to the ministry.

Abe and Soong agreed to continue developing relations between Japan and Taiwan under the administration of President Tsai Ing-wen launched in May. Tsai's Democratic Progressive Party has traditionally been skeptical of closer ties with China.

Abe held separate talks with Quang, Obama and Soong on the fringes of the two-day APEC summit that ended Sunday in the Peruvian capital. Soong attended the summit as Tsai's proxy.

End Of The US: China Develops Stealth-Defeating Quantum Radar

8 September 2016.

China have announced that they have successfully developed stealth-defeating quantum radar

China have announced that they have developed and tested a radar system that uses quantum entanglement that beats all modern stealth technology used by military worldwide.

The first ever Chinese quantum radar was developed by the Intelligent Perception Technology Laboratory of the 14th Institute in CETC, a defense and electronics firm.

Rt.com reports:

The radar was tested in mid-August, Xinhua said in a Thursday report.

The system was able to detect a target at a range of 100 kilometers in a real-world environment, the report said. The device employs single photon detection technology.

Quantum radar is a device that uses quantum entanglement photons to provide better detection capabilities than conventional radar systems. The method would be useful for tracking targets with a low radar cross section, such as modern aircraft using stealth technology or targets employing active countermeasures to jam or baffle enemy radar.

The technology may also find use in biomedicine, since quantum radar requires lower energy and can be used to non-invasively probe for objects with low reflectivity, such as cancer cells.

Earlier, China launched the world's first quantum communications satellite, which uses quantum entanglement for cryptography.

China urges Vietnam to stop construction on South China Sea island

18 November 2016.

China on Friday responded to Vietnam construction on a South China Sea island, urging the country to stop its occupation and illegal activities on China's territory.

"China is firmly opposed to the relevant country's illegal occupation of South China Sea reefs, and construction on China's territory," said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang at a routine press briefing.

Geng was responding to a question regarding a U.S. think tank report, which said satellite images taken this month showed Vietnam had lengthened its runway on the Nansha Islands.

China has indisputable sovereignty over the Nansha Islands and their adjacent waters, Geng said.

"We strongly urge the relevant country to respect China's sovereignty and interest, and withdraw its personnel and facilities," Geng said.

He urged the relevant country to abide by bilateral and regional consensus, and not to take any action that may complicate the situation.
