Some people are saying the economy is bad. For the poor - the 90% - it is bad.

Others are saying the economy is great. For the stinking rich - the 1% - it is great.

It's probably greater than it has ever been in history. And the top 10% are laughing too.

So what's going to happen to the poorer people? Same thing that always happened to them - they'll get poorer.

But the economy will still do okay. It always does okay. How often is the economy really bad? Not very often.

USA debt is not due to Capitalism, but to the immense stupidity of Americans who love every war proposed by the Rich man to enrich himself.

And that debt is far greater than the numbers stated, because Americans owe huge reparations to the countries they so love to ravish and destroy.

I've been employed fairly regularly for the last couple years, but employment means squat...

Rents are stupid, gas has blown through the roof despite oil dropping and now it's open season on US for food..

celery stalks 3,50, it's a fucking weed, saw a pack of beef in Safeway for 8,00 it would have made 1,ONE,burger that could have filled you, Kraft dinner, you know, that shit with artificial cheese, 2.25 box.

Yeah the economy is great if you are a landlord or corporate creep..

For the rest of us, its vaseline time, and you better get used to it because you have to drive to work to pay your rent and eat...

Got an option here?

Food prices are not that high here.

Apparently, you live in an expensive part of the country.

Ground beef has too much fat. I prefer lean beef, chicken and fish.

I would assume fish would be cheaper in Canada?

I love salmon. Canned salmon is cheap, convenient and nutritious. And cans can last years in your pantry.

I can get a 15oz pressure cooked can of whole pink Alaska wild salmon here for less than $2.

This is the best kind of canned salmon. It is pressure cooked and there are a few soft edible bones [good calcium] and maybe a little skin, etc... but everything in the can is edible and nutritious including the juice [it's not water, it's juice from the cooked salmon.]

Canned salmon is yummy rolled up in a flour tortilla [do you have tortillas in Canada ?]

Canned salmon is also yummy mixed in with scrambled eggs.

Eggs are another cheap nutritious protein.

Some food is cheap in Canada. Some food isn't.

Organic bread is $8.00/loaf. A really small loaf.

Canada is getting ripped off compared to USA - often.

This is interesting...

I just got back from grocery shopping. I decided to get a couple more cans of salmon. My nearby Walmart had NONE of the type I posted about. In fact, Walmart still has those notice signs up about low inventory of certain kinds of canned veggies. I went to another nearby grocery store where I usually buy the canned salmon I like and the cost had gone up $1 [since I last bought it] to $2.89 per can.
