Now why would Donald J. Trump (The J stands for Jagoff)  want to take down the entire Pentagon leadership?

Of course the Pentagon is  rife with corruption, bribery, and betrayal.

Of  course the Pentagon is  incompetent, bumbling and stupid.

Of course the  Pentagon lacks any intelligence whatsoever.

But is that enough to criticize them as they all wave little American flags and march down  the streets?

But after all, the entire US government is just the same

Critics Explode After Trump Lashes Pentagon Leaders As Warmongers

:lafn:  :lafn:  :lafn:

(Huffington Post) "Critics were flabbergasted Monday when President Donald Trump slammed his own Pentagon leadership as warmongers.

Speaking at a White House press conference, Trump claimed that U.S. soldiers are “in love with me,” but top Pentagon officials “probably aren’t because they want to do nothing but fight wars so that all of those wonderful companies that make the bombs and make the planes and make everything else stay happy.”

The unprecedented attack appeared to be a twisted response to The Atlantic’s explosive report last week that Trump has called members of the military, including fallen war heroes, “suckers” and “losers.” The president’s sudden slam may have been an attempt to suggest that disgruntled officials were behind that story.

People on Twitter pointed out that many Pentagon higher-ups were named to their jobs by Trump and that the president has boosted the defense budget three years running, reaching a record $738 billion for fiscal year 2020. The president is also the commander in chief, which makes the military his responsibility.

It was Trump who picked Mark Esper — former chief lobbyist for defense contractor Raytheon ― to be the current secretary of defense."

Oh no! Mon Générale!

Oh!!! Mon Générale

Cootchie Cootchie Coo

He did? Whoops!

Oh Paula! You should be the General! Ask the President if you can.

OH NO!!!!!!!

Donald Trump nominated for Nobel Peace Prize

Trump declares: "I told you so!" Insists he be called "Mahatma Trumpi."

I stead of Race awareness programs,  Mr. Trump institutes Yoga classes in the White House and declares that the entire White House staff greet each other with a "Namaste" and  then an  "AUM".

How Vedical!

"US President Donald Trump has been nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize.

Norwegian far-Right politician Christian Tybring-Gjedde made the nomination following a “historic peace agreement” between the United Arab Emirates and Israel.

The leader also praised Mr Trump for resolving other protracted conflicts worldwide and said he has made "tremendous efforts" in brokering peace.

“For his merit, I think he has done more trying to create peace between nations than most other Peace Prize nominees,” Mr Tybring-Gjedde told Fox News.

In his nomination letter to the Nobel Committee, MrTybring-Gjedde said that the Trump administration played a significant role in the establishment of relations between Israel and the UAE.

“As it is expected other Middle Eastern countries will follow in the footsteps of the UAE, this agreement could be a game changer that will turn the Middle East into a region of cooperation and prosperity."

Under the terms of the agreement, which was overseen by Mr Trump, the UAE will sign a series of trade deals and normalise relations with Israel, who in return must suspend its controversial plans to annex parts of the West Bank.

Mr Tybring-Gjedde also discussed Mr Trump’s role in “creating new dynamics” in other world conflicts, including facilitating contact between North and South Korea.

The Norwegian politician told Fox News that he was "not a big Trump supporter", but that other leaders should follow his lead in reserving their judgment.

"The committee should look at the facts and judge him on the facts – not on the way he behaves sometimes,” he said.

"The people who have received the Peace Prize in recent years have done much less than Donald Trump. For example, Barack Obama did nothing.”

Three other US presidents have won the peace prize, including Barack Obama, Woodrow Wilson, Jimmy Carter and Theodore Roosevelt.

Mr Trump was previously nominated for the prize in 2018 following his efforts to solve North Korean nuclear tensions. "

I don't  know who;s  behind it but either way you cut it its pretty damn good

First time he was nominated was 2018

Aum Shalaum

Such an informative thread  and of course a superior bit of writing and unique journalism by Shaktiman.

That's right  it's not the typical cut and paste found here that is merely accompanied by 4th grade compositions

So let's keep it simple this morning while my fellow members blow a gasket.

As Daffy Duck often said; "Thaktiman, I'm not thpeaking to  you!"

Roger Stone to Donald Trump: bring in Martial Law if you lose election

Donald J. Trump (the "J" stand for Jumbo Belly) wants to arrest journalists for Sedition, too!

Oh, How the feeble minded have fallen

And....That too is a contagion.

Many Pravda members are coming down with  it.

Trump meanwhile promises to ‘put down’ leftwing protests

and says US Marshals killing Portland suspect was ‘retribution’

(The Guardian) "Roger Stone, whose 40-month prison sentence for lying to Congress and witness tampering in the Russia investigation was commuted by Donald Trump, has said Trump should seize total power and jail prominent figures including Bill and Hillary Clinton and Mark Zuckerberg if he loses to Joe Biden in November. (Trump has had years to do this)

The long-time Republican strategist and dirty trickster, who has a tattoo of Richard Nixon on his back, lied about contacts with WikiLeaks during the 2016 election regarding emails hacked from Democratic party accounts.

In turn, special counsel Robert Mueller and the Senate intelligence committee suspected Trump lied when he said he could not recall discussing the leaks with Stone.

Stone did not turn on Trump and had his sentence reduced on the recommendation of attorney general William Barr. But he still faced prison before Trump acted. His conviction stands.

Both men were in Nevada on Saturday, Trump holding campaign events while Stone sought to raise money for himself. He outlined his advice to Trump should he lose in a call to conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’s Infowars online show, on Thursday.

Citing widely debunked claims of fraud around early voting, absentee balloting and voting by mail, Stone said Trump should consider invoking the Insurrection Act and arresting the Clintons, former Senate majority leader Harry Reid, Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, Tim Cook of Apple and “anybody else who can be proven to be involved in illegal activity”.

Stone also said: “The ballots in Nevada on election night should be seized by federal marshals and taken from the state. They are completely corrupted. No votes should be counted from the state of Nevada if that turns out to be the provable case. Send federal marshals to the Clark county board of elections, Mr President!”

Nevada has not gone to a Republican since 2004 but is shaping up to be a crucial contest this year. Biden leads there, but polls have tightened.

Trump’s own rhetoric was not far removed from that of the man he spared prison. The president continued on Saturday to make unsubstantiatedclaims about voter fraud. He and his campaign have also consistently claimed without evidence that “antifa”, or anti-fascist, activists represent a deadly threat to suburban voters that will be unleashed should Biden win.

Commenting on a Daily Beast report about leftwing activist groups planning what to do “if the election ends without a clear outcome or with a Biden win that Trump refuses to recognize”, Stone told Jones the website should be shut down.

“If the Daily Beast is involved in provably seditious and illegal activities,” he said, “their entire staff can be taken into custody and their office can be shut down. They wanna play war, this is war.”

Stone also advocated “forming an election day operation using the FBI, federal marshals and Republican state officials across the country to be prepared to file legal objections [to results] and if necessary to physically stand in the way of criminal activity”.

In an interview broadcast on Saturday night, Trump told Fox News he would happily “put down” any leftwing protests.

“We’ll put them down very quickly if they do that,” he told Jeannine Pirro.

“We have the right to do that. We have the power to do that if we want. Look, it’s called insurrection. We just send in and we, we do it very easy. I mean, it’s very easy. I’d rather not do that, because there’s no reason for it, but if we had to, we’d do that and put it down within minutes, within minutes.”

The Insurrection Act of 1807 allows the president to use federal troops to enforce federal law. Last used in 1992, it was much discussed this summer, amid protests over racism and police brutality arising from the killing of George Floyd by officers in Minneapolis.

Ultimately Trump chose simply to send federal agents to confront protesters, most prominently in Portland, Oregon, a move which proved hugely controversial.

In his interview with Fox News, Trump discussed an incident in the city in which US Marshals shot dead a suspect in the killing of a member of a rightwing group.

“There has to be retribution when you have crime like this,” Trump said.

He also said protests such as those in Portland would lead to “a backlash” from the political right, “the likes of which you haven’t seen in many, many years”.

Democracy is in peril ...

... ahead of this year’s US election. Donald Trump is busy running the largest misinformation campaign in history as he questions the legitimacy of voting by mail, a method that will be crucial to Americans casting their vote in a pandemic. Meanwhile, the president has also appointed a new head of the US Postal Service who has stripped it of resources, undermining its ability to fulfill a crucial role in processing votes.

This is one of a number of attempts to suppress the votes of Americans – something that has been a stain on US democracy for decades. The Voting Rights Act was passed 55 years ago to undo a web of restrictions designed to block Black Americans from the ballot box. Now, seven years after that law was gutted by the supreme court, the president is actively threatening a free and fair election.

US Space Force confirms Space Based Infrared System detected missile attack in January

Astronuts Roger and Wilco

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Space Force confirmed that its Space Based Infrared System satellites were used to detect more than a dozen Iranian missiles aimed at U.S. war fighters in Iraq in January, giving Americans and their partners crucial warning.

On Sept. 15, Chief of Space Operations Gen. John “Jay” Raymond specifically credited space professionals assigned to the 2nd Space Warning Squadron at Buckley Air Force Base, Colorado, with providing that early warning, saving the lives of American and coalition forces.

“They operated the world’s best missile warning capabilities and they did outstanding work, and I’m very very proud of them,” he said during prepared remarks at the virtual Air Force Association 2020: Air, Space and Cyberspace Conference.

SBIRS is the U.S. military’s primary missile warning satellite constellation. Built by Lockheed Martin, the satellites use exquisite infrared sensors provided by Northrop Grumman to detect ballistic missile launches all around the world. The constellation consists of four geosynchronous (GEO) satellites, with another two payloads riding on host satellites operating in highly elliptical orbits (HEO) to provide global coverage. The GEO satellites include two sensors: A scanner and a step-starer. While the scanning sensor continuously monitors the earth, the more accurate step-starer can provide coverage for theater missions. Each HEO payloads includes a scanning sensor.

A Ballistic Missile with legs?

Pretty Prorocketive!

A fifth geosynchronous satellite is expected to launch in 2021.

While many observers assumed SBIRS was used to detect the missiles after President Donald Trump credited an “an early warning system” for helping the U.S. avoid casualties, this is the first explicit confirmation that the system was used.

The confirmation comes nine months after the Pentagon claimed Iranian forces launched more than a dozen ballistic missiles against U.S. military and coalition forces on Jan. 7. Reportedly, 10 of the missiles hit Al Assad Air Base, although there were no casualties.

Tensions between the U.S. and Iran had escalated in the days leading up to the attack.

Ahead of a potential attack, the 2nd Space Warning Squadron was able to bring the SBIRS constellation to bear, providing advanced warning of any Iranian missile launches. Raymond specifically credited Capt. Tasia Reed and Lt. Christianna Castaneda with personally planning the SBIRS mission in the lead up to the attack, ensuring optimal sensor coverage of the area.

“This optimization resulted in vital early warning getting to the theater of operations and preserving the lives of U.S. personnel and their partners,” said Raymond.

I understand what Turkey has done in the Aegean and to the entire EU.

Germany is besieged with low life Turks as is now much of Europe.

Turkey is "boarding up" and closing more Christian  Orthodox Churches.

So tell me honestly, if you can, "What has Russia done to the EU?"

Unlike Turkey, Russia is a productive and useful neighbor.

Navalny?  Poppycock.

German Ambassador: Turkey will soon see the stick from the European Council

(greekcitytimes)   "The German Ambassador to Athens made a surprising announcement while speaking to the Standing European Affairs Committee of the Greek parliament earlier today, saying that Turkey will soon see the “stick” from the European Council.

“Germany, during its European Union presidency, maybe at the next European Council, will talk to Turkey with the threat of sanctions and the general deterioration of its relationship with the EU,” said the German Ambassador to Greece, Dr. Ernst Reichel.

“We are dealing with a difficult neighbour and this is a problem we have not only with Turkey but also with Russia, which is also a difficult neighbour. We must persuade Turkey and the question is how to persuade it. I believe the right answer is with a stick and carrot approach. I want to say that the European Council will show Turkey the stick very soon,” he said.

Last month the German Ambassador angered Greek social media users with an insensitive tweet made at the height of the Greek-Turkish tensions in the East Mediterranean, as reported by Greek City Times.

It appears that Reichel is attempting to improve Germany’s image in Greece after taking an appeasement policy towards Turkey’s aggression against European Union members Greece and Cyprus, but admitted that German leaders are virtually disinterested.

“We live in very troubled and difficult times. The issue with Turkey is very important for the German presidency. It is not one of the issues we have included in the written report and presentation of the German presidency but, in the meantime, things have changed,” he said.

“You are well aware that the chancellor and the foreign minister have thoroughly analysed the issue of relations with Turkey. The chancellor considers it her own personal issue to prevent military conflict, to bring about de-escalation and a peaceful delimitation of the maritime zones,” he said after admitting that Turkey is not an issue in a written report and presentation to the German presidency.

“The chancellor has had some success, so far. The research vessel Oruç Reis withdrew from Kastellorizo last weekend and, if we succeed, very soon we will pass to the next stage, which is the start of the so-called exploratory contacts,” Reichel said.

Turkey will never agree to anything except that Turkey will take whatever and whenever it wants anything from the EU.

There is no carrot to be offered,  only a big stick

Turkish bodyguards go to other countries (DC in this photo) and attack citizens

When they're caught as here in the US, the Turks cry mommy in court

Turkey does not understand the carrot, only the stick

So the value of the dollar ain't doing so good, eh?

Donald J. Trump, the "J" stands for "Jiggling" has told his economists and Treasury Department employees; "Just bring me some erasers, ink pens, and magic markers, boys, i know how to  fix the dollar's value.

Get me another eraser and some invisible ink. Mnuchin.

Trump says aides rejected his request to adjust value of dollar

DAYTON, Ohio (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday said he was rebuffed when he asked officials to adjust the exchange rate of the dollar to counteract what he described as repeated currency manipulation by China of its yuan.

Trump told thousands of supporters at a political rally in Dayton, Ohio, that his policies were saving jobs in the political battleground state after years of inaction to confront China's aggressive behavior in global markets.

"I go to my guys, 'What about doing a little movement on the dollar?'" he said, but they countered that was not possible. "'Sir, we can't do that. It has to float naturally.'"

The Republican president, who is seeking reelection to a second term in the Nov. 3 national poll, repeated his claim - which China denies - that Beijing deliberately changes the value of its currency to gain competitive advantage in global markets.

China's central bank has denied intervening to weaken the yuan and lower the cost of its exports to the United States. The yuan has firmed for eight weeks straight against a softening dollar.[FRX/]

Trump gave no details on his conversation about tweaking the dollar's value, and no comment was immediately available from the U.S. Treasury Department, which is expected to release its long-delayed semi-annual currency report in coming weeks.

The United States, like most global economies, allows the price of its currency to float, meaning it is set by the foreign exchange market based on supply and demand relative to other currencies.

Trump in May reversed course and backed a "strong dollar" after years of railing against the dollar's relative strength as a factor harming U.S. competitiveness.

The Treasury Department in January dropped its designation of China as a "currency manipulator", days before U.S. and Chinese officials signed the Phase 1 trade deal, saying Beijing had agreed to refrain from competitive devaluation.

Washington's unexpected decision in August 2019 to label China a "currency manipulator" came at the height of trade tensions between the world's two large economies, but was widely criticized as not based in fact.

Before that, Treasury had not labeled China a currency manipulator since 1994.

Now this makes no sense at all because Trump and his jew pals always take their money with the Clintons to the corner Chinese Laundry

Contrary to the vilification of Vladimir Putin by the less noble and the accompanied "silent treatment" for Shaktiman,  there is more censoring and hiding of Shaktiman's words than  ever.

Whatever opinions on  this one may or may not have, the following UN speech by Mr. Putin is sensible and much  needed.

Russia's Putin urges end to sanctions to boost world economy

UN General Assembly

In this image made from UNTV video, Russian President Vladimir Putin speaks in a pre-recorded message which was played during the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020,

MOSCOW (AP) — "Russian President Vladimir Putin argued Tuesday that ending “illegitimate sanctions” against countries like his could boost the coronavirus-hit global economy and create jobs, using his annual speech at the U.N. General Assembly to stress the need for multilateral cooperation against the pandemic.

In a somewhat muted speech for the often tough-talking Russian leader, Putin told the U.N.’s 75th anniversary gathering that countries need to work together better to fight the virus and other global problems.

“Freeing world trade from barriers, bans, restrictions and illegitimate sanctions would be a great help in revitalizing global growth and reducing unemployment," he said.

Putin has been pushing for years to end U.S. and European Union sanctions imposed on Moscow after it annexed Crimea from Ukraine in 2014, was accused of interfering in the 2016 U.S. elections, and other actions. Moscow views the Crimea annexation as legitimate, and denies meddling in the vote that gave Donald Trump the U.S. presidency.

Putin warned other countries against unspecified “interference” in domestic affairs, and said “cybersecurity also deserves most serious deliberation within the U.N.” — without mentioning the Russian trolls and hackers accused of manipulating U.S. public opinion in 2016.

Putin’s speech came amid tensions between Russia and the West over Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny, who is being treated in Berlin for what German authorities said was a nerve agent poisoning, and as the EU ponders imposing sanctions over Belarus’ disputed presidential election and crackdowns on protesters.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel called Navalny’s poisoning an attempted murder that was intended to silence Putin’s most prominent political foe. Merkel’s office indicated she may be willing to rethink the Nord Stream 2 pipeline project, which would bring Russian gas to Germany under the Baltic Sea.

EU foreign ministers failed to agree Monday on imposing sanctions on Belarusian officials suspected of rigging the Aug. 9 election that kept authoritarian President Alexander Lukashenko in power. A security crackdown on anti-government protests followed the vote. However, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said there was “clear will to adopt those sanctions.”

Russia also has drawn international criticism for speedily approving a COVID-19 vaccine, and some Western experts said it cut corners during testing. Putin has touted the vaccine on national television and said that one of his adult daughters had already been inoculated - and on Tuesday, he offered to provide the vaccine free to all U.N. staff.

However, both Russian and Western experts insist that further studies are needed to determine the vaccine's effectiveness and safety.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said some countries “are seeking to impose concepts and standards like the ‘rules-based world order’ while trying to meddle in the domestic affairs of other states, using unilateral sanctions in violation of the U.N. Security Council prerogatives, and exhibiting intolerance and hatred."

Putin called for unity and urged countries to reaffirm their commitment to the U.N. charter and international law, lamenting a “deficit of humanity and kindness” between countries amid the pandemic.

He repeatedly stressed the Soviet Union's role in helping vanquish the Nazis in World War II — the conflict that gave birth to the United Nations. Despite calls for deep reform of the U.N., Putin said the Security Council's five permanent members should keep their veto power, and said their leaders agreed to an in-person meeting once the pandemic allows.“In an interconnected, interdependent world, in the whirlpool of international events, it is necessary to act together and rely on the principles of international law enshrined in the U.N. charter,” he said.

Bernie Sanders Sounds Alarm on a Trump 'Nightmare Scenario'

Don't bullshit the nobody Shaktiman, Bernie. All politicians  cheat and  lie,  24/7 and incessantly so. They come out of the  womb like that, It's what they're paid  to do in  the  interest of their plutocratic money backers.

Yes Bernie, Trump is a lying dirty rat, but you're right up there,  just with a  different con.

Yes, you and Trump both, especially your "liberal" cohorts Bill and  Hillary Clinton,  the drug traffickers and purveyors of public corruption

The political Duet, Sanders and Trumpnunckle.

How about a chorus of your new song boys,  "Blah  Blah - Blah Blah Blah -  Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah

(YahooNews) Sen. Bernie Sanders is planning to mount an aggressive campaign to counter potential attempts by President Donald Trump to delegitimize the results of the November election, warning that Democrats and Republicans alike must do “everything that we can to prevent that from happening.”

In a phone interview on Monday evening, Sanders said he would spend the next six weeks urging the country to prepare for a “nightmare scenario” in which Trump declares himself the winner of the election and refuses to step down even if he loses.

As part of his effort, he is set to deliver a speech in Washington on Thursday — his first in-person appearance related to the election since before he dropped out of the presidential race — to outline in stark terms the danger that he says Trump poses to the nation’s democracy.

“We are living in an unprecedented and dangerous moment — extremely dangerous moment — in American history,” Sanders said. “And what this speech is going to be about is whether or not the United States of America will continue to be a democracy and a nation ruled by law and our Constitution.”

In the interview, Sanders said that he thought there was an “excellent chance” that Joe Biden, the Democratic presidential nominee, would win the election, but that he was worried that the Biden campaign was not doing enough to reach “nontraditional voters,” including young people and Latinos. He held a virtual town hall event on Tuesday with Julián Castro, the former housing secretary under President Barack Obama, “to get the word out” to Latino voters about the importance of the election.

Trump, who has consistently trailed Biden in national and swing-state polls, has spent months trying to sow doubt about voting and the election. The president has claimed without evidence that mail voting will lead to “the greatest Rigged Election in history”; has urged people in North Carolina to illegally vote twice to stress-test the election system; and has even suggested delaying the election, which he cannot do on his own.

Biden himself has warned that Trump might try to disrupt the election, and Democrats and some anti-Trump Republicans have grown increasingly anxious about such a possibility before, during and after Election Day. Some groups have begun gaming out how to respond to various doomsday scenarios. Facebook and other large tech companies have also taken steps to prepare for any potential efforts by Trump or his campaign to use the companies’ platforms to delegitimize the vote.

Sanders, Vermont’s junior senator, will continue what an aide described as the “public awareness” phase of his effort while campaigning on Biden’s behalf. The aide would not say whether Sanders would hit the campaign trail before Election Day. Sanders demurred when asked if he was involved in any preparations should his predictions about Trump and the election come true.

“Right now,” he said, “my main focus is to prevent Donald Trump from staying in office if he loses the election, to prevent him from delegitimizing the election results, to make sure that every vote cast is counted, to make sure that voters are not intimidated.”

In recent weeks, Sanders has privately spoken with experts, including Rosa Brooks, a law professor at Georgetown and a co-founder of the Transition Integrity Project, a bipartisan group of former government officials, political professionals and journalists that has gamed out election scenarios. The senator said he had also spoken to the Biden campaign about these issues.

In the interview, Sanders laid out a series of steps to prevent Trump from corrupting the election, including urging states to count mail-in ballots “as rapidly as they can” and encouraging them to begin processing and counting ballots before Election Day. (Rules on when states can begin counting vary across the country.)

“If you are starting from zero on election night, and you’ve got hundreds of thousands or millions of absentee ballots, how long is that going to take you to count?” Sanders said. “It will take a very long time. And that will allow the fomenting of conspiracy theories and so-called fraud and everything else.”

Sanders also said he would encourage social media companies to stop people from using their platforms to spread disinformation and threaten election officials. And he said he had requested bipartisan hearings in the Senate with secretaries of state as well as law enforcement and election officials “to tell us how they are going to handle Election Day and the days that follow.”

“The American people have got to be prepared for this,” he added. “It is absolutely essential that they are.”

Since the coronavirus pandemic shut down the campaign trail in March, Sanders has delivered addresses and held roundtable events via livestream, using the infrastructure he built up during his campaign. Aside from his activities in the Senate, Sanders has not made any public appearances in person since the last Democratic presidential debate, on March 15.

Until recently, most of his focus has been on the pandemic. But as he has grown increasingly fearful that Trump could sabotage the election, aides said, he has shifted some of his focus to figuring out what to do if the president tries to hold onto power illegitimately. This month, Sanders sent a lengthy email to his supporters warning them “about Trump’s threat to our constitutionally enshrined system of the peaceful transition of power.”

In addition to his speech on Thursday, he is planning to hold a virtual town hall on Saturday focused on rural voters, during which he is expected to deliver a similar message about Trump and the election, the aide said.

Don't tell us the Democrats don't rig elections less than  Republicans

My daughter is a Bernie supporter who hates  Trump and  the Clintons.

I don't  like  any of y'all I've dealt with  y'all personally and often, both  Democrats and Republicans

Your all just a joke.
