A detailed introduction to the T0-T10 status of the aluminum plate

T state is one of the five main states of aluminum plates, and the T state of the 6 series aluminum plates has the most products. The T state represents that the state of the aluminum plate has reached a stable state after heat treatment. According to different aging and different processing techniques, the T state is subdivided into many subdivision states, which represents that the aluminum plate has different properties. Here is an introduction to T0-T10 status:
 T0 state: After solution heat treatment, natural aging and cold working state. It is suitable for products whose strength is improved by cold processing.
T1 state: Cooled by high temperature molding process, and then naturally aged to a basically stable state. It is suitable for products that are not subjected to cold working (straightening and leveling can be carried out, but the mechanical performance limit is not affected) after being cooled by the high-temperature forming process.
T2 state: Cooled by the high-temperature forming process, and naturally aged to a basically stable state after cold working. It is suitable for products that undergo cold processing, straightening, and leveling to increase strength after being cooled by a high-temperature forming process.
T3 state: cold working after solution heat treatment, and then natural aging to a basically stable state, suitable for cold working or straightening after solution heat treatment. Products that are leveled to increase strength.
T4 state: After solution heat treatment, it is naturally aged to a basically stable state. It is suitable for products that do not undergo cold processing (straightening and leveling, but without affecting the mechanical performance limit) after solution heat treatment.
T5 state: the state of being cooled by the high temperature molding process and then artificially aged. It is suitable for products that are artificially aged after being cooled by the high-temperature forming process without cold working (straightening and leveling can be carried out, but the mechanical performance limit is not affected).
T6 state: the state of artificial aging after solution heat treatment. It is suitable for products that are not undergoing cold processing (straightening and leveling can be carried out, but the mechanical properties are not affected) after solution heat treatment. T7 state: similar to T6.
T8 state: the state of being cold worked after solution heat treatment and then artificially aged. It is suitable for products that have been cold processed, or straightened or leveled to increase strength.
T9 state: artificial aging after solution heat treatment, and then cold working state. It is suitable for products whose strength is improved by cold processing.
T10 state: After being cooled by the high-temperature molding process, it is cold-worked and then artificially aged. It is suitable for products that have been cold processed, or straightened or leveled to increase strength.
 
What is solution heat treatment?
 Solution heat treatment refers to the process of heating the alloy to a high-temperature single-phase zone to maintain a constant temperature, so that the intermediate phase is fully dissolved in the solid solution and then rapidly cooled to obtain a saturated solid solution.
What is natural aging?
 Natural aging refers to placing the workpiece under natural conditions such as outdoors, so that the internal stress of the workpiece is naturally released and the residual stress is eliminated or reduced.
 
What is artificial aging?
 Artificial aging refers to heating the workpiece to a certain temperature and then cooling it in the furnace or in the air after holding it for a long time (5-20 hours). Compared with natural aging, it saves time and the residual stress is removed more thoroughly, but compared with natural aging, the force release is not complete.
